Glad we stopped by here on way back home, nice place to spend some time. The decor is well done and they have an extensive menu to choose food and drinks from. Our waitress, Ren was fantastic! I think the potato skins were the best restaurant quality I have had so thank you for the kitchen staff for that, plus everyone in our group enjoyed their food. It was a treat to find out it was happy hour time for drink specials, but we were not able to catch some live music, which from their signs, they seem to have frequently, so if we lived closer that would be something fun to check out, so I would recommend anyone check out this place whether you are celebrating something or just looking for some hangout time. Truth be told, I think the environment is even great for hanging out solo. Thank you to everyone who made our afternoon a delight.
We went to Rum River on a Saturday evening for dinner with friends, and I'm here to tell you, they did not disappoint. From the moment we were greeted and seated, till we closed out our check, everything was on point. The entertainment that began before we left was tasteful and at a volume you could enjoy, but still have conversation at your dinner table. This is particularly important to us and we've left places early because they didn't control the volume of their entertainers. The ambiance and vibe in the entire restaurant is upbeat and fun. I don't think I saw a single person that wasn't smiling and having an enjoyable time with their server. One of our party had a little hiccup with her order and the manager, Walter, made it right and made sure she was absolutely satisfied with the solution. I suppose if I had to nitpick anything it would be the chairs. Not very comfortable on my boney rear parts, but sure doesn't take away from a 5 star review. We won't hesitate to return and I highly recommend Rum River Bar and Grille.
Port richey hidden gem! Accidentally discovered this place because whiskey river was packed. Not real busy and quiet. We came at 3pm on a Friday. They do have music later though. Someone mentioned prices were high but anywhere on water will be. They are not "high" but competitive.
We just happened to stop by for lunch and we were so glad we did. Lindsay, the waitress/bartender was amazing. She made sure our drinks were full and the food was just right. Our food was made right to order, and the portions were very generous.
Fun place to go on a Saturday night. The music was awesome, the food was great. 3$ well drinks ontop of that. My server had to have 5 tables at a time and still managed to be attentive to our table. Definitely recommend
We had an excellent experience with our server Elliot and our delicious meal. We had the grouper slides, tai shrimp and clam chowder with a Caesar salad. Elliot had the patience of a saint since we couldn’t decide what to order. We wanted to try it all.
Stopped here for lunch. Dog friendly, but there are cats on the premises which didn’t bother our dogs but…? Lunch was good. Mahi BLT was delicious. Burger was cooked to order. Nice views of the Cottee River.
Tuesday nights at Rum River are a vibe! Karaoke with Cherokee Allyse was a total blast — great energy, great music, and even better company. Don’t skip the Rum Runner, Crab Fries, or Coconut Shrimp — all absolutely delicious! The cherry on top? Watching the sunset over the water. It was the perfect midweek escape. Can’t wait to come back
