It's fairly seldom that I give 5 stars right down the line, but Stefan absolutely deserves it. We were in the area for a music event, and stumbled upon this place. A nice, ethnic menu, the place is tastefully decorated, and our server was warm and friendly. The complimentary bread that came out was some of the best bread I've had in my entire life. I'm not joking. It was fantastic. The Schnitzel I chose for my entree was divine. And I'm not sure I've ever used that word in a review before, but the meat was tender, the breading was crisp and nicely seasoned. Highly recommend this place.
Stefan’s Grill in Chicago is an absolute gem and a modern Balkan spot you have to try. The food was incredible. Traditional Serbian dishes done beautifully, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every bite was tasty and comforting, while still feeling fresh and elevated. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Pair your meal with a good beer and rakija for the perfect combo. If you’re looking for amazing Balkan food in Chicago, Stefan’s Grill should be at the top of your list.
I ordered the smash burger with fries. This burger was delicious everything was made perfectly, patties tastie n juicy, the bun melted in my mouth fresh. This place is very elegant, cozy n staff was friendly, guys n gals please get the burger n let me know what I . Oh n n the bar was stacked full of spirits, 10 out of 10
Very good food and very pleasant servers. Also, fries are good! My sister took me here earlier in the year and we've been back several times. One of our favorite places to eat. The only problem that I did encounter is that every time that we've come there, the woman's toilet does not flush. The toilet is usable but it does not flush. I reported this to the employees a few times but I gave up doing so because I figured this must be Norm.........
My husband and I are on a trip to the Chicago area and we were looking up fun restaurants in the area! This place sounded different from where we usually dine and we loved the fact it was family owned. We were not disappointed! The wait staff were welcoming and polite. We have never had Baltic cuisine before, so the waitress was generous and explained the principles of it. We were sold. But then the actual food itself? Fantastic. Everything was so well cooked and very flavorful. My husband got the beef pillows and I got the special of the evening which was chicken with a white sauce and mushrooms. This place is hidden in an industrial park but it is quite the hidden gem! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Excellent restaurant with amazing food, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere. Everything from start to finish was outstanding—highly recommend!
We wanted to try a local restaurant while we were in Willow Springs horseback riding. So we just mapped for a restaurant with good reviews. It was 8 minutes away. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, we were the only indoor customers. They had an outside area which I think would have been nice to experience. The food was the highlight of the visit. We had the burger, steak sandwich, sub sandwich and a salad. All were good and huge portions. I don't think I've ever seen a burger that big which was fitting for my 17 yr old growing boy. We all still took leftovers. The service nice. We will visit again if in the area.
Pretty damn good food. Definitely one of the best Cevapi I have tried in Illinois. I was impressed by the freshness of the meat and the portion size. Pretty awesome drink menu too. Very cozy environment and clean restrooms. Staff were nice and patient. I am definitely going back.
