A convenient alternative to Ferry BBQ when you're in a rush. I stumbled upon this small BBQ spot by chance due to time constraints. I wasn't sure I’d have enough time to reach Ferry BBQ, where I originally intended to go. This restaurant feels like a direct copy of Ferry BBQ—the setup, the menu, and the prices are almost identical. One might expect lower prices from a competitor, but they are exactly the same. The meat was a bit chewier than I prefer, and the dining room was less crowded. Overall, if you’re short on time and can’t make the extra 10-minute walk to Ferry BBQ, this is a decent place to satisfy a rib craving.
The chicken was tender and packed with flavor, and the fries were delicious too. I would have loved them a bit crunchier, but they still hit the spot. The ribs were cooked perfectly and came at a great price. Overall, a satisfying meal that I’d happily recommend to anyone!
Everything is just AMAZING here Well I don't eat pork or beef. But other than that it's amazing
This is one of the first places I visit when I come to NJ. Growing up here have a “combo” (which is a combination of chicken, ribs, rice and beans) is a common quick and delicious meal because the chicken and ribs are done with charcoal and the taste is great. There’s a lot of BBQ spots in this area but this is my favorite, because they also serve them with thicker fries than others. It’s nostalgia as it is a great quick meal! If you around NJ give it a try.
Pretty solid, ordered the 1/2 chicken + pork ribs combo ($20) to go with fries only and it was delicious. Warm, tasty, and not too tough. Chicken breast was slightly dry and pork wasn't as tender on the non fatty parts but they were still good. Lots of fries, they were delicious. Beware they don't give you sauces unless you ask! We had our own at home. Small joint for takeout and a bigger space inside for sit-down. Big portions, good prices. Apparently you can substitute the rice or fries for veggies or salad for an additional $2.
They give a huge amount of food. Feeds 4 or more for less than $20! Alway fresh and you can see the meat being made in front of you. We always get the ribs from here
Best food in the area by far.. you can’t go wrong with a full order of ribs with rice and fries..
Haven't been here in years and the food still tastes just as good as I remember it. Meat is seasoned very well. The rice also has greasy but tasty feel to it , also has some similar seasoning like the meat. Fries are look crunchy but super soft on the bite. Soda was ice cold even without the cup of ice! Very good food very good service plenty of room to sit. Place was super clean and the staff was super nice! 10/10
