Ole State Line Bar

Awesome bar! Service and food were incredible. The prime rib is delicious! Remodeled the bar and it is much brighter. Now just need to work on the bathrooms! Will come back! Thank you!

We were traveling through and decided to make a last-minute stop at the State Line Bar, and it turned out to be an awesome choice! The atmosphere was fantastic – laid-back, fun, and perfect for a quick break. They’ve got pull tabs for some extra entertainment, and the place is known for its amazing chicken, which did not disappoint! Also, can’t beat the prices! They also have every NFL game playing, so if you’re a fan, it’s a great spot to catch the action. Brittany and Kylie were the bartenders, and they made the experience even better. Super friendly, chill, and really made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place – it’s definitely worth a stop!

I was very pleasantly suprised at our experience. We ordered duck hearts. I've never had them. They were excellent! Then we ordered a burger. It was big, hand pattied and not frozen. Everything was perfect. The bartenders were great. We will definitely return. Very impressed with the price and quality.

It’s finally time I review a restaurant. I typically don’t have time in my very busy days, but I have to for this place- it’s just that good. We moved to Bristol and are now minutes away. On one of our first days owning the new house, my husband finished painting late and we just wanted something quick. I groaned to know the closest food was this bar- as we have a one year old, however, being technically in Michigan children are welcome as long as food is served. It’s a tiny hole-in-the-wall kind of place with a very hunter’s-lodge kind of dated feel. But on my word, people of the internet, never in my life have I had such superior mushroom n Swiss burger and “mojo’s” (a new thing to me- potato wedges basically). The mushroom slices are fat corner pieces the burger is a very good quality beef- at least from the taste of it. The mojos! Dipped in ranch (the Midwest has changed me) is really life changing. They have fried chicken dinner (or broasted, rather) on sundays and that too was amazing. The service was slow, not to the fault of the staff but more as an indicator of how packed the place always is and how in demand the food is. The atmosphere is what it is- making it such a wonderful surprise that it hosts 5-star bar food, seriously the best bar food I’ve possibly ever had which is saying a lot. Not that I want this little secret to be out and for us to have to wait in line, but, this place deserves to be known and celebrated.

Husband and I stopped in this past Sunday afternoon for lunch. He got a burger & fries, I got the grilled chicken & chips and broasted chicken was the special so we got that to go for dinner- all of it was fantastic! Great conversation with other patrons and great service! $2.00 bloodies and great atmosphere! We will definitely be back.

RRT #77 Ole State Line Bar and Grill Dec 18 ‘25 The last Random Road Trip of 2025 (the last 2 Thursday’s are pretty booked) took us to Ole State Line in White Pigeon! This was definitely a local bar ~ we played some Holiday Trivia (average was 7/20 :) but had a great burger, and sweet potato fries….Here’s to ‘26! We encourage you to branch out, visit LOCALLY owned establishments and give them the reviews that they deserve ~ especially if they are positive ~ …there are enough people that only give reviews if they are negative!

Great place to eat, or just hang out. I grew up here so it a little strange seeing how much the place has changed. I mowed the yard for the original owner from the time I was 8 years old to about 14 years old
