Great vibes, friendly folks, nice view of the beach, tasty drinks and snacks. Has pool tables and outdoor seating in the patio or on the beach (yes with your drinks!). My uncle participated in their St. Patrick's day events many years ago; the bartender remembered him and showed us pictures. If I lived there it would be my go-to neighborhood spot.
Pretty cool local bar! You can hang out outside and they have a pretty decent amount of whiskeys and beer. Not so pricey, but it is cash only!

We specialize in dive bars. What's a dive bar to me? No kitchen, no dress codes, opens before noon (6:30 AM preferred), friendly people, clean but not neat. This place is one, expect for opening time. Its hard to find without GPS because its not where a bar should be. That makes it special. Its a neighborhood bar among the homes. With a view of the Pacific Ocean, sunset, and a sandy area outside to gather. So I rated food average since there is none. But the view is the highlight
Great dive bar on the beach at the mouth of Channel Islands Harbor. Very reasonable....no food served, but they will allow you to order from the pizza place nearby, or you can bring your own food...no problem. Pool table and jukebox...chairs on the beach too...

The Rudder Room on Hollywood Beach in Oxnard is a classic California dive bar. Sit inside and soak up the ambiance. Or better yet, step out the back door and watch the ocean or a few dozen sea lions cavort on the sand. There are three sand volleyball courts. But it’s fun just to sit back and enjoy the scenery with a cold one in hand and enjoy life. Bring cash for your tab. Plastic not welcome.
