Just good old country cooking! You’re looking for a wonderful country cooked breakfast oh my gosh this is the place to be! They have a drive-through you can order or better yet call your order in for pick up. They got a big dining room with fast friendly service and all my gosh once again great country cooking. Lunch is also wonderful I love the pork tenderloin gravy and mashed potatoes! I Live and drive by this restaurant … every time I eat here I tell myself why don’t you eat your more often !!! Its just incredibly delicious and reasonable price!

This is a really good southern dining experience if you are into that sort of thing. The food selection is good and the food itself always hits the spot!

Coming all the way from Baltimore, Maryland to Wilson, NC for a family reunion. Ask around to several locals to find out what the top breakfast/brunch spot was in the area and Amy Jo’s name came up several times, so you know we had to drop in. First, I’ll start by saying the hospitality was on point. Everyone was so kind and made us feel like we were regulars when we dined in. This restaurant is self seating so finding a table for our group wasn’t hard at all. Immediately upon sitting, we were greeted by our waitress who was very friendly and had a bubbly personality. The food was just OK in my opinion. The spicy sausages were very delicious and one of my favorites for the meal. The sausage gravy over what I would say was a homemade biscuit was crazy delicious . The biscuits are huge and very hefty and tasty. The fried pork chop didn’t taste seasoned and was very tough to chew (overcooked). The entire meal in my opinion was a bit above subpar, but the hospitality made up for the 5 star review.

Absolutely wonderful food. This is true southern cooking like grandma used to make. I'll definitely be back. They have one of the best biscuits I've ever had.

I loved everything about Amy Jo's. I love to support homegrown local businesses. The parking lot was full but we found a parking place quickly. The decor was simple, yet wonderful! You can tell the owner is a Christian and not ashamed to show it. The messages on the wall are proof of that. The food was exactly what I had hoped for. A delicious Southern country breakfast! My Dad and I had the same breakfast, except my eggs were scrambled, and his were over medium. They served real country link sausage! Not the "want to be sausage." We had cooked perfectly grits with a side of red eye gravy! If you know what red eye gravy is, you are probably smiling right now. If you do not know, then all I can say is bless your heart! We also had toast to complete the meal. Our server was delightful, attentive, and sweet. The breakfast and lunch menus are exactly what I like. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I live about 40 minutes away, but I will go back. To me, it is well worth the drive!

Wow! This is some straight up Southern dining. I had a cheese biscuit that weighed about a pound. It was made with real hoop cheese, stretchy and gooey. The grits were good and they have Redeye gravy if you want it, I wanted it. Seriously, if in the area give it a try. Careful everything is really hot and fresh. Just like I like it.
