Cute coffee shop set in an old railway station. I had the Turkish eggs and was thoroughly impressed! The house-made sourdough was thick-cut and toasted to perfection. Good flavours but not overly garlicky. The dish is offered with hummus or Greek yogurt, but I just read another review saying they got half n' half, and will have to try that next time I go back.
We were visiting Kelowna and took a nice drive to Vernon to try this place that was actually recommended to us by one of our friends back on Vancouver Island. We ordered one of their seasonal FALL DRINK MENU and tried the “Maple Bourbon Latte” and it was an impressive match to the crisp air and we pairs it with the Ratio smores cookie. The cookie was smashed and seemed like there's more to share but it didn't last long so I advise getting 2 and not sharing .After our drinks We found some great merch on the shelves and I grabbed a uniquely RATIO branded “Fellow “ 12oz travel mug & sweatshirt for a souvenir from the Okanagan. We could see the baked goods depleting as the line up passed and the bakery pumping out goods almost as efficient as the barista was pouring. The staff here is constantly in motion as too are the clients. As a tourist to the region this place was welcoming and the quality is high up as a non-corporate locally owned community hub could ever be… local support can be felt at every corner of the space… This place is located at a historic train station building and when you're here you can feel the hustle and bustle of people going places... We were so glad to SPAN time here as we arrived at our destination as soon as we stepped into RATIO. I look forward to future visits here whenever we are back in the Okanagan.
I popped into Ratio Coffee in Vernon for the second time. The set-up is quite decent and the staff were pleasant enough, though nothing out of the ordinary. It would be nice if they had a few more options on the pastry or dessert front, perhaps a slice of cake or two, as the choice felt a bit limited. I ordered a couple of lattes, which were perfectly decent, though I did find the place a touch on the warm side, particularly in the front room. All in all, it’s a reasonable spot for a coffee, and I’d likely return, especially as at the time it seemed to be the only proper coffee shop in Vernon that was open.
I’m not over blowing this… that may have been the greatest breakfast sandwhich of my life. Get the breakfast sandwich with avocado & bacon on SOURDOUGH. You won’t regret it… or forget it. Cortado w/ oat milk & maple was off the chain too. Just incredible breakfast! Don’t miss out while you’re in Vernon!
A Perfect Start to the Day at Ratio Coffee & Pastry! Ratio Coffee & Pastry in Vernon truly hits all the right notes for a delightful breakfast or a quick, satisfying treat. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with their fantastic offerings and the genuinely kind and friendly staff. In fact, I loved it so much, I made sure to visit twice during my trip to Vernon from Vancouver! I opted for a spread that showcased their diverse menu, and I wasn't disappointed. The breakfast sandwich was a standout – perfectly constructed with fresh ingredients, it was both hearty and incredibly flavorful. It's clear they put care into crafting a morning staple that truly delivers. And to kickstart my day, their Americano was simply delicious – rich, smooth, and expertly prepared. Next, I dove into the pretzel, which was everything a good pretzel should be: wonderfully chewy on the inside with a perfectly browned exterior. It was a delicious and unexpected find on a coffee shop menu. For something sweet, the donut was an absolute winner. Light, fluffy, and with just the right amount of sweetness, it was the ideal complement to my coffee. And speaking of refreshing, their cold-pressed juice was vibrant and invigorating – a perfect way to balance out the richness of the pastries. I even waited for a fresh Nanaimo bar flavored eclair, and it was absolutely fantastic – a truly delightful and uniquely Canadian treat! Beyond the delicious food and drink, what truly elevated my experience was the service. The staff at Ratio Coffee & Pastry are genuinely kind and incredibly friendly. Mickie, in particular, was a star employee who went above and beyond, even selecting some coffee beans for me to take home and enjoy – what a fantastic touch! They create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger and enjoy your surroundings. It's also really cool to know that the venue itself is the old site for a rail station, adding a unique touch of history to your visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through Vernon, Ratio Coffee & Pastry is an absolute must-visit. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Vernon!
We stopped here on the way back to Vancouver (winter time). Great place to get good coffee and small breakfast + a selection of pastries. We had the lovely avocado toast w poached egg. The honey drizzle was a nice touch and the bread was delicious and perfectly toasted. We also had the breakfast sandwich, and the classic eggs benny. Make sure you walk thru the small corridor after you pay for your food as there is more seating. I had an 8oz decaf Americano w room, which was full of flavour. Highly recommend to stop there, lunch options looked delicious and everting looked and tasted fresh. Friendly staff. I could see this place being very busy in the summer, w longer wait times.
Incredible! We had breakfast sandwiches (gluten free option) and they might be the best we’ve ever had. Nice selection of breakfast options and baked goods, great coffee. Really cool vibes with a nice patio for outdoor seating. Very clean. Loved it!
