Romeos Kitchen + Spirits

Beautiful view from the patio. The menu doesn’t have a great selection and I found the prices a bit high so we didn’t eat here while we stayed in the hotel. But we came for a drink and to enjoy the view and it was worth it!

We have just had the most enjoyable meal at the excellent Romeo’s Kitchen and Spirits. Made all the more wonderful with the lovely welcome from Jess and the delightful server, Halle, who took such good care of us during our meal. We sat on the outside deck to enjoy the sunshine, warmth and view over Kamloops. Halle suggested I try the Pad Thai, which was delicious, whilst my wife Chose the BC Burger which the chef kindly made gluten free. We could not fault our dining experience at this really lovely restaurant overlooking Kamloops, and wonder at why some people are so intent on finding fault. We loved our evening meal so much that when we return in a weeks time we will definitely return to enjoy the offerings available. Thank you Jess, Halle and chef for making our dining experience so memorable! Friday 18th July This evening we returned to this fabulous restaurant and once again had an absolutely fabulous meal. The young staff are an absolute credit to this excellent restaurant. We had the lovely Brooklyn serve us this evening and she was outstanding! The staff made our visit each time so memorable. Thank you for a second opportunity to enjoy this excellent restaurant in Kamloops.

Unfortunately it is not Romeo's anymore. It is now 1250? I think...we specifically made a trip to Kamloops and booked the Coast so we could eat at Romeo's again as our last meal there was phenomenal. The new restaurant is in the midst of renos so ambiance will likely improve, but the menu was a let down for me. I had the mussels, which were delicious, but they were paired with french fries! They were called something fancier, but they were just fries...hubby had the lobster roll, which for some reason we were thinking would be fancy...the lobster concoction was tasty, but sat on what really just looked like a hot dog bun and was paired with potato chips...yes, chips...no other side or veg. Our fault for not asking more questions I guess...They staff was lovely, but for the price, it was a bit of a letdown.

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food served at this restaurant. As a guest at the hotel for the week it was really nice to get a solid tasty meal at the end of the day with a good beer and drink selection. Staff was great and accommodating. I had the steak, lamb shank, pork chop and birria beef during my staff. All 4 were great but highly recommended the lamb and steak.

We had dinner with friends and all our meals were excellent!! Including the desserts…with a freebie for the bday girl :)) Our server Halle took wonderful care of us. Only 3 stars for “atmosphere” due to the renovations in the back of restaurant. We will definitely be back!!!
