Supporting a black owned business feels even better when the experience is a good one! It was very busy and the establishment is small, so service was a little slow… however staff was apologetic and communicated well. Rum punch was really good, not too strong, very balanced, and flavorful. Shrimp tacos (hands down) were the best! Jerk Salmon was okay, jerk sauce was good with some spice but the salmon was a little dry. Dacks Mac was MACCCCING! So good. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.
I’m glad I found this spot. Their food is so unique but delicious! Their regular menu has some good options but I requested food from their “secret” menu from items I saw on Instagram- their Oxtail supreme crunch wrap with a side of the infamous Dacks Mac and cheese. And the oxtail crunch wrap looked beautiful and tasted just as well. Their rum punch was also tasty. A good spot for a chill date spot or a night out with the girls
The food on their Instagram looks so delicious so I had to try it. I had the oxtail tacos with French fries. Overall the food was great and what I expected. The only thing I wasn't expecting was how messy the tacos would be. It had a sauce that was drizzled all over the inside and outside so be mindful of that. I could've definitely done without the sauce but overall the food was still very delicious. I will be back to try some other items.
Saw this spot on TikTok and had to check it out. We had the oxtail overload and the seafood overloadboth were very good. The seafood overload had fried Lobster tail, shrimp and snow crab legs with creamy mac & cheese. The Sauce drizzled on top was delicious10/10 the oxtail overload came with oxtail fried rice & oxtail tacos was definitely worth the wait. 9/10 definitely would recommend and be back.
This place was great (5 * is impossible with me), cozy dinning area with a take out section next door. Tv, music, fun ambiance. The fried chicken or oxtail nachos are to kill for. Margaritas were on point. Lamb chops tender and flavorful. Fried catfish was good as well.
This place is great!!! The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. I ordered the oxtail quesadilla ( they come with French fries). Now this platter was very interesting. It wasn't smothered with cheese it was evenly portioned, the oxtail was good and tasty . Now the fores was the show stopper... they put this sauce on it called the bang, bang sauce!!!!! OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! ( I had it on the quesadilla too). I also ordered their sweet chili wings, those were good as well and cooked all the way through, no pink or red inside the chicken. Next on the menu was the curry chicken, fried rice with veggies, collard greens and plantains. The plantains were plump and sweet. They weren't dried out. This plate I would recommend. The other plate was the rasta pasta with sweet chili wings I didn't take a picture of it but it was good and the rasta pasta was creamy not watery. Lastly, they have to go drinks !! The rum punch was punching!! And the best part... it was $7 !!! They also had margaritas and lemon drop, but once there is rum punch on the menu, there is no other option for me. I would definitely be returning customer.. Oh I forgot to mention their bathroom is so clean and smelled good not to mention, they had condiments for refreshing for women and men in there!!! I was pleasantly surprised!!
I’ve had Dacks before but this time I’ve tried the oxtail and it was tender and really good.
Great Food, Will Be Returning! I finally made it to Dack’s Cuisine and was not disappointed! I ordered the fried shrimp meal with candied yams and their famous Dack’s Mac. The mac was my favorite—flavorful, cheesy, and perfectly blended. The yams were drizzled with marshmallow, adding a nice touch of sweetness, and the shrimp goes well with the orange sauce. I originally wanted the Dack’s Oxtail Mac, but unfortunately, oxtails were off the menu that day. The bartender wasn’t there, so the only drink available was the rum punch, but it was tasty. Overall, I enjoyed the food and will definitely be returning! I just wish the music selection was livelier to match the vibe.
