I’ve been wanting to try The Mall Deli in Pittsburg, Kansas for quite some time, and while I was in the area running errands, I finally stopped in to give it a try. Monday’s special was a Reuben served on a rye/white mix bread with Russian dressing, and it came with chips and a pickle for $8.99. I also ordered the French dip because I wanted to see what that was all about. Both sandwiches came out in under 10 minutes, which was impressive. The service was fast and friendly, and both sandwiches were very good. I was genuinely pleased with both orders and would absolutely order either of them again. One thing I found interesting—and something I’d never seen before—was that they’re known for their crackers and homemade Italian dressing. As soon as you’re seated, they bring out a basket of crackers with their Italian dressing to drizzle on top. It’s not something I would have thought to order on my own, but I actually enjoyed it. A unique and thoughtful touch. If you’re ever in the area, this is a solid stop. It’s also kind of nice strolling through the old mall—small, laid-back, and nostalgic. Overall, a really enjoyable visit. Grub Score 8.0/10.0
I just wanted to share that my mall deli experience is and has always been exemplary! They have always made it with care the best that it can be ! I've been eating there for 30 years and not once have I ever had a bad experience. I've never given them a review and I felt that they deserve one five stars thanks guys! Always great !!!!
If you are driving though Pittsburgh don't you dare worry about "chicken anything " THE MALL DELI IS WHERE THE ACTION IS! DELICIOUS, REASONABLE, AND VERY VERY BUSY! 11 OUT OF 10!
A friend told me about this place and on our way home we decided to give it a try. We got chicken corn chowder soup. It was very good. French dip and rueben. Both were great! They were very busy coming out of a rush, and our wait was a little bit, but definitely worth it. Once our order was taken, our food was our quick! We will be back.
My go to when I am back in the Pitt area. NEVER had a bad experience there. Always good, service always pleasant, and food out of the kitchen quickly....had French dip today....so good. Coming down from KC, prices always a nice surprise.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Great value for the price. The egg salad sandwich is tasty, and so large I'll get two meals out of it. The cheesecake is wonderful!
A local institution, great sandwiches, there are very few comparisons. French Dip Big Matt Sub Creamy Italian and crackers.... ___. I Will continue to dine here until it goes or I go, whichever one comes first.
Extremely fast and delicious. While you're waiting for your order there are crackers with creamy Italian dressing to snack on. The menu has a good variety and is very affordable. My plate was clean, and they aren't small portions, so I definitely enjoyed it!
