The Pantry Restaurant Nanaimo

I was very surprised how good the food was here, we stopped for a quick bite, I tried the Santa Re wrap. Which came with fresh avocado sliced inside, Salsa on top and sour cream on top. The Salsa had a beautiful heat level. Just enough to make your mouth tingle against te cooling sour cream. Honestly delicious. Looks like it gets busy here. Looking forward to coming back to sit on the Patio in the summer and try plenty more delicious options. Loved the place. Our Server looks like she was putting in the work already that morning. Showed up and wiped table clean for us. Came back and Dried it. Served a restaurant of people single handedly and still made sure our coffees were topped off and our food was tasting good. Very much looking forward to returning. Added benefit she was very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. 10/10!

Our food was good! We ordered chicken strips and fries and a BLT with fries. Asked for cheddar on the BLT and they put grated cheese on, a slice would have been much better on a sandwich but it was still good! And nice portion sizes. I liked our waitress she was very nice and seemed a lot more attentive so we appreciated that! There wasn’t very many customers in there yet it was super loud with slamming dishes, and ice and random machines. Overall we were happy to sit down and have a bite to eat!! I would return!

Had a wonderful tasty hot delicous breakfast here. Excellent service with lots of smiles. Nice atmosphere and clean tidy appearance throughout. Drop by for a meal I'm sure you will be pleased. This is thier famous loaded omlette with shredded hashbrowns and toast. If you like my review , don't forget to click the thumbs up icon. UPDATE !!! I enjoyed that breakfast so much that I had to go back again for another ! This time I had the smothered omlette....it is a mind blowing explosion of flavor. This maybe the best omlette I have had this year.....it's November lol..... Do yourself a favor and give it a try....it's a large portion so get your hunger on !! I am usually trying Gluten-free and dairy free. I visited for breakfast with friends and decided to treat myself, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the pancakes, and they were absolutely heavenly — incredibly fluffy, topped with plenty of syrup, a sweet strawberry compote, and whipped cream. The server Jamie was friendly and attentive.

From the Seniors' Menu: the fish-and-chips was well prepared, and tasty dessert is included! Generous portions. Attentive staff. During Covid-restrictions, it's lovely to be able to sit outside safe, with protocols in place, and enjoy a meal. On the terrace, in the sun.

This place has some great home-style cooking. The friendly wait staff, tasty food, and reasonable prices make The Pantry worth a stop. Perfect for families.

Now it is a great disservice to the people of Vancouver Island that a single IHOP doesn't exist on the island. However, I have found the Pantry to be a great alternative, even if they don't have chicken and waffles. Also if you have three cups of whatever they have for coffee, it will supe you up faster than the Flash. I wanted to run a god damn marathon after that breakfast!

Went here tonight for the first time delicious food, fast service and great happy staff will definitely be back and will be telling my friends to check out this restaurant

Really delicious breakfast place in Nanaimo. We ordered pancakes, potato pancake benny and it was cooked to the perfection. The sauce was nicely done as well. Will be coming back whenever we are in Nanaimo.

Very nice breakfast spot. Cleaned constantly, with Covid dividers. And friendly staff. My grill breakfast and pancakes was very tasty, and obviously filling.

I’ve been here a few times, on my own or with friends. The servers have always been very friendly and welcoming. The food has been delicious every time I go.
