I moved into the area 2.5 years ago and have been meaning to check this place out after hearing such great things. I’ve been trying to convince (manipulate) (threaten) my boyfriend into moving to the area, but he has been holding out. I knew my opportunity to show to him the best mimico-long branch has to offer, and the fate of our relationship lay in the hands of George. Needless to say he is moving in with me now in March (has to give his landlord 60 days notice) thanks to George the Greek. We went last night for dinner & got the souvlaki plate & it was the perfect bait to hook this fish (my man). Such great value for money, $25 before tax for the two of us and we could barely finish. Even the bread was transcendent, possibly the best bread of my life - but the real showstopper was the sweet succulent chicken, moist and flavourful rice (just like me) and zesty potatoes (like my boyfriend). My boyfriend doesn’t eat salad that often and actually said the salad was his 2nd favourite item on the plate. We will be back - together and cohabitating - thanks to George

Just had another amazing meal at this venue! Family owned and very friendly service. The portions are generous and food is very fresh and delicious. Their Greek salads are by far the best in Etobicoke. Check it out if you get a chance!!

My favourite takeout food for years. Have yet to have anything that isn’t delicious and a generous portion. Chicken Souvlaki Dinner is the best, but love the chicken greek salad, greek fries, gyro fries, wraps. I always crave the tzatziki and their potatoes.

Stopped with my wife for a quick bite. I had a Gyro and the wife had a Chicken souvlaki both on a pita. Perfection! I'll definitely be going back, I haven't had a gyro that good in years! Even played some nice Greek music while we were eating. Do yourself a favor, go grab one!

Loved this little joint we came across while searching for Greek Food in the area. The food was delicious and very authentic, and service was fast! The chicken was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend it. We shared a large chicken souvlaki dinner between 2 people they give very generous portions which we loved. The price point was also fantastic (approx $20 pp with a drink)

Delicious food!!!! The chicken souvlaki is SO flavorful and juicy. They have many turkey options too. Portions are good for 2 small appetites! Tina is the nicest person and happy to provide gracious service with a smile! Please go here!

This place is more than just a restaurant to me — it’s been part of my life since high school. Years later, I’m still ordering from here, and now my daughters and my boyfriend love it just as much as I do. That says everything. We always get the chicken souvlaki dinner and it is perfection every single time. The portions are incredibly generous — big, juicy, beautifully grilled pieces of chicken that are seasoned to absolute perfection. You can see and taste the quality. The Greek rice is so flavourful and comforting, and the potatoes are tender, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. And it even comes with thick, golden toast on the side! And let me talk about the tzatziki… it is HANDS DOWN the best I’ve ever had in my life. Creamy, fresh, garlicky, perfectly balanced — not watery, not bland — just incredible. They are very generous with it as the salad also comes with tzatziki and a side of a delicious lemony olive oil house made dressing! The Greek salad is also the best I’ve had anywhere. Crisp lettuce, fresh vegetables, olives, feta, and that perfect sprinkle of seasoning. It’s always fresh, never skimpy, and made with care. What makes it even more special is that it’s a true mom-and-pop restaurant. George and his team are amazing — quick, friendly, consistent, and genuinely kind. They never disappoint. The food is always ready fast, always hot, and always exactly how we expect it. It’s rare to find a place that stays this consistent for years. This restaurant truly deserves all the support. If you want authentic, generous, delicious Greek food made by people who care, this is it. George and his team are the BEST. We’ll be customers for life.

My girlfriend and I have been visiting George the Greek ever since I moved into the neighborhood about two years ago, and it has consistently been a favorite. The portion to value ratio is truly unmatched. This is a local, family-run restaurant offering authentic Greek cuisine made with simple, healthy, and fresh ingredients. Beyond the generous portions and great prices, the service is always friendly and welcoming. We usually interact with Tony, who is incredibly hospitable, accommodating, and impressive in how he seamlessly manages both delivery orders and seated guests. We highly recommend this restaurant. We’ve never been disappointed and genuinely love supporting such a great local spot. Already looking forward to our next visit!

I moved out of the area a number of years ago so I had not dropped by for a cheeseburger, fries and gravy combo for a long time. It was still as tasty as I remembered. It's nice to see a family owned independent restaurant still being a going concern in the hood. Don't let the haters fool you.

This restaurant is by far the best in north America. As Greeks we know about our cuisine so by eating here it reminds us our homeland. I’m fully recommending this place to anyone who seeks quality food. The owner is not aggressive, he is 100% Greek and Greeks speak loudly.

Excellent authentic Greek diner. Excellent food. We ordered the special for 2 @ 29.99 includes 2 full meals.. Chicken and Gyro was our choices.. They come with lemon roast potatoes out of this world!! Great tasting rice, salad and Tsaziki. Fresh and very tasty. Will Def be back. Cash or credit OK. Parking on the street. A must try when in Mimico.

We came here on March 15, 2025 lunch time. This review is for their Pork Souvlaki dinner. We think it’s a 5 star meal because of the price $15.99, the portion, quality and water! We thought it’s mostly a take out place but they offered us cold water since we do not drink any pops. Very important ! I really like the potato and salad tastes very fresh. Pork is nice and tender but I prefer more saltier. Saltiness is subjective though. My middle eastern friend really enjoyed the rice. I probably would cut out the garlic bread. It’s just way too much food. lol. We will come back to try other dishes. Hope George gives good recommendations next time. I see posters of other Greek dishes.
