This small burger joint may appear modest at first glance, but it delivers excellent food through its service window. A standout item on the menu is the marshmallow shake, which comes highly recommended. The barbecue burger is another highlight, featuring a large onion ring, coleslaw, BBQ sauce, tomato, and lettuce. Though the patty is on the thinner side, the combination of flavors is satisfying and filling. The fries offered are crinkle cut, but my experience with them was less than favorable, as they were served lukewarm during my visit. The restaurant provides outdoor seating with three picnic tables that accommodate about 8 to 10 people at each table. During peak hours, expect to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes, but the wait is worth it if you have the time. For a more leisurely experience, consider visiting right when the establishment opens or after the busy periods. The atmosphere is friendly, and the staff members are welcoming. The location is particularly enjoyable in early April, when tulips and daisies are planted around the establishment, adding a nice touch. This burger joint comes highly recommended for travelers, those with a hearty appetite, and anyone who enjoys burgers and milkshakes.
My husband & I tried garden and black bean burger with fries. Beyond the food itself, we were grateful for the attentive consideration of our dietary restrictions. Our order was placed with a friendly smile, helpful answers and suggestions (upon request), and utmost politeness. We enjoyed our meal, appreciating the establishment's thoughtfulness. We will plan to visit again :)
A great place to get a burger right off the road. Friendly staff. Good food. Picnic tables available.
Local lunch place that always hits the spot . Way better than fast food . Drive up . Eat outside or take home yummy! Been eating there for 35 years ! Sometimes its dinner for 9. Take out only . Get a shake!!! Fried mushrooms!
This is absolutely, without a doubt, my new favorite place to eat!! The food is fresh and crazy delicious. The service from everyone was top tier. The music was fun and transported me to another era, which is very welcomed in these crazy times we're living in. The whole experience warmed my heart and fed my soul and I can't wait to return for more awesome burgers and shakes. I hope this wonderful business makes to 100 years and beyond!!!
So good. There's a reason this place has been around since 1955. All of it is delicious. Probably the best crinkle fries I've had since elementary school cafeteria back when they used to actually cook food, but I digress. Fresh ingredients, and some of you know, the bun is important for a burger as it is the stage the sandwich is presented on. Perfectly prepared here. Grab a burger, fries, and for the love of sky, get a shake. I'll be back!!
So good every time I've gone here. The garlic cheese curds are some of the best I've ever had (and I'm from Wisconsin). The burgers are juicy and competitively priced. It's just a walk up window, no seating area. 5 stars.
Great little roadside burger stand that's been there for years for good reason. I've stopped here countless times over the years and it never disappoints. I love that they understand the formula to keep it retro and exactly what a place like this should be without exploiting the uniqness with high prices or compromising the quality of the meals. The place can be a little noisy from the traffic going by but, isn't that how a roadside should be?
