No wait. Was seated right away. Our waiter was great and attentive. Explained the menu really well and provided great recommendations. Really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the decor!
Tonight was an treat. Yes, of course, the food is amazing and always has been but this night we had the special - forgive the mispronunciation "Pork Osso Buco" and it was outstanding...just get this meal! It's not just the food, as we all know, it is also the service and Cameron made the evening special. My hat off to Cam and Angelini's - tonight was sincerely perfect. Nice work Cam! Topped the evening off with a nice stroll down the state trail during sunset - you owe yourself a visit to Angelini's!
I live near Chicago and this is some of the best Deep Dish Pizza I have had in years. The sauce was flavorful and perfect amount, right amount of cheese, stringing from the spatula and the Crust was perfect, you could tell it was fresh homemade dough. The staff was top notch and the bartender was excellent. She even asked if I wanted Wisconsin or Kentucky Old Fashioned. Finished off with a very nice Lemoncello, it was a very nice touch. Give it a try, it's on the water with a nice view. Nice Job Angelini! Great Restaurant here
Fun place. I’m third generation American , all my relatives are from Italy . Italian is my favorite food. Could I complain about the food absolutely but my honest rating is it’s far above average when going out for Italian food. I sampled the chicken parm , egg plant parm. And the meatballs . All very good , sauce was fantastic albeit a little on the salty side . I didn’t much care for the garlic bread but certainly good enough to eat . All in all food was great. Service was fun . The gentleman serving us was a relative of the owner , nice young man who must have spent his youth in Italy . Very nice guy , very polite . Atmosphere was so so . Once inside it’s better than it looks from outside. Two separate areas , a small dining area with probably just shy of a dozen tables , shades were down so it was dim inside but as soon as the sun went away. Shade were opened at it was bright and cheery . Outside contains the bar area and more seating with a few televisions . In the summer I imagine the trees will block most pf the view of the water and even in winter the view isn’t great . For the average person zero reason not to try this place.
Not only was the food far beyond expectations, but the service was completely awesome!! Kevin is the best, the first is the best! Get there. If YOY love real Italian then get your butt there!!!
An absolute 10 out of 10 experience! Angelini’s is truly a gem of Italian cuisine in the U.S. — every dish was exceptional, from start to finish. I tried an Italian drink that was delicious, and the lemon dessert was absolutely unforgettable. The entire menu was magnificent. What made the experience even more special was the service — our server, who was Italian, made us feel like we were dining in the heart of Italy. The atmosphere, the hospitality, and the attention to detail were simply incredible. Highly recommended!
If you're in the La Crosse/Onalaska/Holmen area of Wisconsin and don't take the opportunity to visit Angelini's, you'll miss one of the most amazing dining experiences (and one of the most delicious meals) I can remember having in nearly a decade. When you first approach the door, don't let the dive-like appearance of the building fool you, nor the small hallway leading to the maître d’ podium, your path lit by soft strings of fairy lights that give the space a warm, intimate glow (both romantic and soothing at the same time). As you're guided to your seat if you choose the dining area and not the bar ((I can't speak for that portion of the building; we didn't visit it)) you'll pass through a doorway. At least it must have been a doorway, though I could swear it was a portal into Southern Italy. The waiter comes to your table smiling, making jokes, asking after your evening, and seeing if there's anything he can bring you. None of this should be surprising (it's all part of a waiter's job) but somehow he still manages to make you feel completely at ease. Your table will be set after you sit down, not before, and with no cheap paper napkins or tarnished, scratched silverware. Not here. When you dine here (at prices that are remarkably reasonable) you are given a fine dining experience. I won’t say more. I’d hate to spoil the surprise. The menu. The food. The flavors. Do yourself a favor. Try it.
Came here for a date night - delicious!!! And Kevin the manager was just phenomenal and so kind. Great vibes for an affordable price. We’ll be back soon!
