Delicious dinner! Great vibe. Come right when they open for a table outside, otherwise there were spots inside without a reservation when we went. Can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely delightful! I had a good experience at this Italian restaurant. The poulpe was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. A lovely atmosphere and a truly pleasant interaction from start to finish.
The staff are fantastic and very attentive. Make a reservation if you want to sit inside. Without a reservation, you will have the option of the outside table or the one table at the door.
Amazing Italian restaurant serving some of the best plates of seafood pasta. The mixed seafood linguine was as big as it looked! Plenty of pasta, plenty of seafood, all coated in a rich tomato sauce. The tagliolini vongole (special of the day when we went) had plenty of clams, cherry tomatoes, and tons of that luscious sauce. The service was very friendly. The staff working all spoke English, French, and Italian. Prices are slightly on the pricier side, but definitely worth going to if you're in Nice. Would highly recommend booking as it can get full pretty quickly.
A warm and cosy little local restaurant. They were friendly and welcoming to tourists. They have a lovely simple Italian menu with specials available. The food was mostly great, particularly the Seafood Linguine and Grilled Octopus which appear to be their signature dishes. Both were flavourful and cooked perfectly. However, the steak was slightly overcooked. For the Seafood Risotto, the flavours didn’t quite penetrate the rice making it quite bland. The seafood was fresh though. Their homemade tiramisu was delicious so definitely try that. Overall it was a good meal but I wouldn’t say it’s a must-visit in Nice.
Love the dish i ordered! Service is also excellent, will return. One of the tiktok raved places worth returning to!
We had made reservations easily on line before we arrived in Nice. Le Terre Del Sud has a small storefront and dining outside across the front sidewalk. We walked the delightful few blocks from our hotel on Rue de France to the restaurant but ended up walking right by it, even stopping to admire a sailboat model of real seafood next to the front door…oops! We were one of the first two tables to be seated outside, but the other tables quickly filled with diners who were visiting Nice. Neighboring tables were eager to share tales of their travels, and eventually, we felt we were with extended family at a celebratory meal! Our server was a lovely woman. She was attentive and efficient with her service. We started by sharing a delicious bottle of Spinelli from the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo region (our favorite region with Italian food). We also shared the entire yummy basket of sliced Italian bread and focaccia. We immensely enjoyed their Salad with Seafood and their AMAZING grilled whole octopus, as did several diners that evening and so many visitors before us (based on the numbers of online reviews with photos)! We saw a young lady sitting solo several tables away who reminded us of our daughters, when they went on business trips. This young lady was from the Netherlands, we believe; and we bought her dinner…she was so grateful, and we knew we had met yet another extended family member! We highly recommend Le Terre del Sud…intimate but FULL of flavor!
The best meal we had in Nice. For starters, we got the sautéed octopus which was tender and delicious. For mains, the clam linguine (~€24) had a wonderful balanced flavour and the yellow cherry tomatoes within were subtly sweet. I got the seafood spaghetti (€28.50) which had a generous amount of mussels, clams, a shrimp and a langoustine - all cooked perfectly. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente and overall the dish was not too salty. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. The waiters speak Italian, French, English. The service was smooth and friendly. The tiramisu was authentic and had the right flavours. Very busy so recommend booking.
