Yummi Xpress Jamaican Restaurant

So far, the best I've tasted here in Cincinnati. That rice & peas was RICH with coconut milk. Took me back to home to guys hill, St. Catherine. And don't get me started on the Oxtail... Soft and full of flavor. Next try will be the curry goat (they gave me a sample).

Best Jamaican restaurant in Cincy! Easy 10/10. Food was fresh and not overpriced. The wait was long but definitely worth it. The service and the food was amazing.

As a Nigerian, I’ve been searching up and down for authentic jams I can food! I came with my girls and I got the jerk chicken( finally a very authentic jerk chicken)! My friends got the curry goat and the oxtail and I tried both and it’s delicious! I was super hungry and this meal made my day! Definitely come here!

Absolutely loved my experience at Yummi Xpress Jamaican Restaurant! I ordered the curry goat and oxtail, and both dishes were bursting with authentic, mouth-watering flavors. The curry goat was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the oxtail was rich and delicious. I also enjoyed a refreshing mango carrot juice and a coke to top it off. Everything was spot on! What really impressed me was the price – very reasonable, especially considering that goat and oxtail usually cost a lot at other places. Great value for such amazing food! If you’re looking for genuine Jamaican cuisine without breaking the bank, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Small local restaurant with delicious food. Don’t expect things to be very speedy and have some patience as it’s a small staffed place they’re likely doing all the roles needed. Staff was very nice & apologetic about wait times. We tried the jerk chicken & oxtails with rice and peas and plantains. The oxtails were very tender and flavorful. The chicken was also delicious as well as the rice & peas and plantains. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

RUN-DON'T WALK! The food was beyond great, and the server was the most friendly Jamaican restaurant cashier I have ever met. I've eaten Jamaican food my entire life all across the country and have I yet encountered such a friendly staff. The oxtails were perfectly cooked. The rice and peas were moist and flavorful. The cabbage had hints of pepper and perfectly seasoned. The beef Patty, which to me was my favorite part of the meal was made fresh and you can tell! The price was a bit steep. But I knew that going in, because Jamaican restaurants nowadays are fairly expensive, but every bite was worth every dollar.

I came here with my brother who I ain’t seen in 3 yrs and he put me on I got the jerk chicken I swear I think I died and went to heaven when I bit into the rice I tried everything individually then together the chicken was so damn tender the fork stabbed right thru it even after the drive then I put the hot sauce on all three and my soul damn near left my body and the corn was so damn juicy and buttery and sweet everything was so damn delicious definitely need to go back there again

The food is absolutely worth it!!! I called in an order to pickup and was told it would be ready at 5:25.. this was a huge understatement. I didn't leave until 6:15.. I am not even dropping a star for this because the experience and food were so enjoyable. I love the patrons here. Nothing like cuttin up with some good people while you wait. I lived in Florida and there was a spot you could pull up to this family's kitchen window of their home. Now this was hands down the best jerk chicken I had ever had. Fast forward 15 years and I have been on the hunt for authentic Jamaican food. I have craved it ever since I left. And I have found it!!! The jerk chicken and rice were so flavorful, fresh off the grill, a generous portion! The cabbage was perfectly cooked and so flavorful! The crisp on the chicken skin was so good! The chicken was incredibly tender. Damn. It was so fire!!! I will say, the wait is a bummer.. but this is a family owned and operated business. They don't have a huge staff. Next time I'll just give them some additional time, but we definitely will order again and again. If you know that going in it might relieve some frustration.. The gentleman who helped when I got there was so kind and welcoming. I truly wish them so much continued business and success!!! Thank you for satisfying my craving for authentic Jamaican food!!!!
