Important: NOT a Japanese restaurant. It is more like an Asian Fusion restaurant. Only the sushi chefs are Japanese, as I was able to communicate with them. Not purely Japanese food, but small Asian dishes with unique touches. For example, I loved the veggie and mushroom spring rolls (4) with a mango sauce, which I recommend. I do not recommend the "beignet," as it is certainly not one. It is fried the same way fried ice cream is, which tastes very different. However, if you are a chocolate fan, there is an excellent dessert that awaits you, made with lots of rich chocolate. Nice mood lighting and can accommodate couples to up to 10 people (with a reservation). Has a good drink selection, but small sake selection. A bit pricey--but it's Great Neck. Had a nice time, but please do not label this as a Japanese restaurant.

You would never know by the low-key outside appearance of this place what wonderful delights await you inside. It's a small informal place, no fancy decor... all of the attention here is on the food, and it shows. Super high quality sushi and really creative and delicious cooked dishes. Beef negimaki was out of this world! The desserts were spectacular, also - pecan tart and chocolate tart, both topped with the creamiest ice cream... just amazing. The waitress was delightful, friendly and attentive. Great experience all around. Make a reservation, it's small and it gets busy!

The quality of food is truly so good. Hand rolls are stuffed and each bite of fish is so buttery and fresh. I couldn’t really taste the difference between sushi places until coming here and now I can’t go back. Chef kama and chef komodo’s craftsmanship shows. For kitchen entrees, there hasn’t been one thing I’ve tried that’s bad and just a great variety of selection. I’d definitely come any days besides Saturdays or at least before 8pm on Sat to avoid the rush.

Absolutely incredible. The freshest fish outside of Japan. Really special! But there hot food. Is just as drool worthy. Honestly my favorite restaurant.

5 Stars. Their sushi was some of the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. Also their salmon was grilled nicely, and they had great Green Tea ice cream. Our waiter was very nice and polite. Overall, a great gem in Great Neck.

Interesting French Asian food with a check in every column for diverse tastes. Service is good and usually friendly. There is a mix of patrons, mostly local. Don't be jealous of the table of chatty high schoolers able to pay the moderately high prices with Mom's credit card. The boulabaise is my favorite item. They do take out, too

Good simple Japanese and sushi place. They also serve other foods. Sashimi platter was good but did not come with any sauces, just soya.

Excellent Japanese restaurant that's actually run by Japanese owners. Sushi is the best traditional sushi in Great Neck, and entrees are solid.
