Very good sushi and nice staff. We had a few rolls and they were all very good. We also had a beef udon, which was okay, nothing spectacular.
In general, in Vancouver I was very shocked by how good the quality of seafood is. Indeed, this was one of the best sushi in the last couple of years that I have tried. If you are in Vancouver, you must try this sushi. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is also quite good. The only thing is that you should try better with the karagi . These karagi were so-so. Thank you.
Some of the best sushis I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Japan). These are so flavourful and fresh! We stumbled upon it by pure luck and went 3 days in a row. The ratio price/quality is great, as we managed to order enough to fill 4 people up and paid around 15$ each. Get the red dragon roll and the spicy combo, you won’t regret it:)
I took my close friend to Osaka Sushi on August 1st. I absolutely love Japanese food and eat sushi almost every week, but this was my friend’s first time trying it. I’ve already explored nearly all the sushi spots in Richmond and found my favorites there, and lately, I’ve started checking out places downtown to discover new go-tos near work—lol! Our server, Yuri, was incredibly sweet and patient. Since I had to explain everything to my friend, it took us a little while to decide, but Yuri never rushed us. Throughout our visit, she checked in often to see if we needed anything else—more tea, more water—always with a smile. I really hope I get her again the next time I go, because Osaka Sushi has officially become one of my favorites! It did not disappoint. We ordered the Crispy Roll, Ichiban Roll, Sockeye Salmon Sashimi, Miso Soup, Seaweed Salad, Spicy California Roll, and Spicy Chopped Scallop Roll. Everything was delicious—definitely some of the best rolls I’ve had in Vancouver. My personal favorite was the Chopped Scallop, while my friend loved the Crispy Roll the most. Can’t wait to go back! Update: I went to Osaka Sushi for the second time with someone who has tried sushi in different parts of Japan, and Osaka Sushi did not disappoint. I was also happy to return for my third visit on December 11th, this time on my own. Once again, I ordered the Crispy Roll, which has been a favorite of mine since my first visit, and it was just as amazing as before. This time, I also tried the Beautiful BC Roll. While the flavors were great, I do have one small suggestion: this roll is larger than the others and tends to fall apart. Making it slightly smaller could make it easier to eat in one bite and allow all the ingredients to be enjoyed together rather than getting half of each roll in a single bite. This is only a friendly suggestion. Osaka Sushi remains one of my favorite sushi places, and I will definitely be back.
Always love eating at Osaka sushi, amazing service, delicious food and great atmosphere. Would truly recommend anything on the menu, always fresh fish but my girlfriend doesn’t eat fish so I’ve had veggie rolls as well and they are always great. Without a doubt the best sushi in all of downtown.
Always love eating here, been coming here since I moved downtown and sometimes eat here a few times a week. Always fresh food and great service. My personal favourite is the Korean chirashi don, a lot of protein and a very healthy meal. Would definitely consider Osaka sushi my favourite restaurant in all of Vancouver.
Pretty good value and Sushi place. The Maki & Roll section is a good price but basic in flavor. The Aburi price of 15 for six pieces is on par with higher end Aburi Sushi locations but the taste was a step below from those places. The value at Osaka Sushi is the Special Roll section and especially if you like the ones they have listed on their specials of the day outdoor chalkboard menu. Crazy Roll will delight anyone who wants a fried option and Black Ninja was really good. Most prawn specialty rolls are good and the Volcano Roll might be just a bit too much sauce and stuff. The service is always so darn good and the atmosphere is so pleasant to make you feel at home. I would recommend Osaka Sushi to anyone as a value location if you use the Special roll section and there are a lot of rolls within that area of the menu.
Had lunch at Osaka sushi, tried their Bento Box C. It comes with miso soup. California roll, tuna sushi, ebi nigiri, salmon sushi, rice, gyoza, salad and one selection of protein; I chose tofu teriyaki. Overall, It was so so.
