The food is always great here and employees are nice. We usually get our food to go, and it's packed up good and I love that they give you a serving of chips and salsa for each entree.
This little place was very good! It surprised me how good it was for a small town. The service was good and the food was fantastic. I ordered a steak fajitas and the stakes were thick and they gave you plenty to eat. The salsa was served cold, just the way I like it, and it was delicious! Will definitely be back!!!

First time going to this restaurant and I have to say, it’s one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in a long while!! I would recommend that place if you want some good food
This was our first food stop on our little road trip, wasn’t expecting a lot.. glad to say we were way off.. the food, was delicious and service was top notch..the young lady serving us was really sweet and helpful..if we’re ever this way again we will stop in. Thanks for the great service and food.
They need to repair the parking lot pot holes every where. You will damage. Great food
This is a pretty good little Mexican place. We were in Bernice Louisiana working for a few days and out hosts took us to Gonzalez the first day. We liked it well enough to eat lunch there three days in a row. The steak fajitas and the carne asada street tacos are excellent. I had them cook the onions on the fajitas extra well done and they were perfect. The chips are also very good and the salsa is good as well. The parking lot is gravel, mostly dirt and would be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. The service was good and slow the first day, but was perfect the next two days. I highly recommend Gonzalez Mexican Restaurant in Bernice, Louisiana.
