I drove an hour and a half! I will be back!! Excellent boiled crawfish and huge raw oysters. Worth the drive. The fried crab bite appetizers are off the chain. Fast friendly service.
A great place for dinner with friendly staff and a great atmosphere and the ambience of the Cafe is just right. They also have some of the best local musicians playing acoustically on a few nights of the week.
Our friends recommended this restaurant, so happy we went! The service was amazing, and the food blew us out the water. Delicious!! Bring your appetite and good moods, you'll be welcomed here!
We live not too far away, so we finally decided to get this place a try. Boy, are we glad we did! Phenomenal food and very reasonable prices. From the seafood platters, to the filet mignon, to the fried chicken, and even the chicken & sausage gumbo, everything was homemade and delicious! Bonus tip: the fried pickle appetizer is the best we’ve ever had, even my kids were fighting for the last few in the plate!
Looked for a sit down crawfish boiler between Ville Platte and Lafayette that was boiling for lunch on a Saturday. Cankton Cafe was one of the few sit down places open and boiling. The place was easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the crawfish seasoning and quality was above average. Definitely a small town restaurant worth taking a detour for.
Beautiful atmosphere. You have got to try the village burger! I've eaten burgers all my life, they are my favorite food. I can not begin to tell you how good this burger is. I don't know their secret, but damn. Easily in my TOP 3 burgers of all time. Great job guys. Great service also.

Best fried pork chop I've ever had! Lots of good homemade cookin. Place is quaint, clean, and inviting. Only reason for 4 stars is because the waitress showed zero interest in her customers. We will still go back and hope for another person .
