This is one of my absolute favorite lunch spots, especially on Wednesdays. Wednesday is chicken liver day, and all I can say is WOW! They are always cooked and seasoned perfectly. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which can be rare at other places, sadly. I've never had a bad experience at Gill's. The price and quality are beyond expectations, most definitely. When you pay less than $10 for a full, home style meal than you do for a fast food combo and the food is 1000x better, it is a home run. There have been times when I've come in after the lunch rush and some tables haven't been bussed yet, but you better bet they have been cleaned before I leave. Keep up the good work ladies and gents of Gill's Grill! You know I will definitely be back for those amazing livers, taters 'n gravy, and a heaping *double order* of turnip greens!
TRUCK Parking in back. Take the side street past the store. Wife and I had the Fried Chicken. We got here at 2pm on a Monday 30 min before they closed-- they didn't make is feel rushed. We both had Fried chicken breasts Fried ocra, deviled eggs, Cole slaw, potato salad, corn bread, iced tea, peach cobbler, mashed potatoes gravy. Could barely walk out.... total was 16.73. Cafeteria style. Love it.
Great food for a great price! Seasoned well food and cafeteria style dining makes for a fast Harty County style lunch!
We stopped by Gills Grill today, the food was fresh and very good. We had meatloaf with 3 vegetables, it also came with rolls or cornbread and a drink. Two of us ate and our bill was $18.62 I would highly recommend Gills Grill, nothing fancy but it's clean and had good fresh food. Was fast through the line and the people working there were nice. We noticed that most must be regulars because everybody talked with someone. It's hard to find a place where it's actually good and affordable. Great place, we enjoyed our lunch especially the sweet tea. Gills Grill is on Lakeland Road in Dalton.

My first time here. We got here right before they closed and they were so very friendly and sweet. We got out to our semi to eat, and oh my goodness, the food is delicious. Tastes exactly like food my mom and grandma would make. Our daughter absolutely loves the mashed potatoes. Deviled eggs, beets, rolls, cubed steak, gravy, slaw, potato salad, chicken, corn, and more. So very very delicious!!!!!
Great place to eat highly recommended. If you’re eating breakfast I would recommend trying the tenderloin biscuit.
