The food is always good! One of my favorite restaurants! All of the waitresses are efficient in getting our check ready & refill drinks when they see they are low. Love their bacon wrapped shrimp & onion rings!! Also, they have a tasty blackened chicken/shrimp ceasar salad and are not stingy on the dressing!
Me and my wife are in from tn. We’ve been searching and eating at all types of mom and pop restaurants. This place was awesome. Sarah was one of the friendliest people we have ran into since we’ve been here. Very informative made sure we had everything we needed, gave us recommendations and service was next to none. The food was amazing!!!! Best catfish I’ve had in years. Long story short go eat, talk to Sarah she will make you feel at home!
We stopped here on our way from New Orleans back home to Monroe, and it was really really good! I had wanted gumbo while exploring down south, and this place had it, and I could even order it alongside a shrimp sandwich which was also delicious. Gumbo was warm and comforting, made me feel like the snowman in that one Campbell's soup commercial they run every holiday season.
Great no frills spot for a Po-Boy! Came on a coworker's recommendation and was not disappointed. Those Marsh fries though...so good.
placed a large company order the day before needed. got confirmation. went to get next day and everyone as usual in this place looked confused. They finally see the list and said oops we forgot . The manager should be fired. This place is a good example of the workers not taking pride in their work. i would not recommend this place as the people and service is worst in area and the food doesn't make up for it. They also would not make it right so that should tell you something. stay away . there are alot better places in the area. don't waste your $
It's been a few years since I have been to Griffins, but it was well worth it! I had 1/2 fried shrimp poboy and the seafood gumbo. The bread was fresh, and the shrimp was fried to perfection! The gumbo was fresh, and roux was the perfect color! My mother in law loved her fried shrimp salad. The portions were the plentiful!
First time visit. Nice little hometown, laid-back restaurant with indoor and outdoor patio seating. I ordered the large catfish plate with homemade onion rings, salad and sweet tea. It was good, and a lot of food. Customer service was great, very friendly, and checked on me several times.
Fast friendly service, had a salad with fried shrimp. It was in an edible bowl, and was the best salad I had in a long time.
