The owner and his family went above and beyond to get us fed after a very long day of driving. We arrived to town in the snow, and they made sure we had great food and enough of it. We are truly grateful and happy to have met such good people! We will definitely recommend to anyone coming through Lucas.
Good experience. I ordered the #4 and it was good. They do not make Omlets and no pancakes after 10am otherwise breakfast all day. Worth the trip. Next time I'll try lunch.
The food and pricing was amazing! The wait staff were all friendly and social. The interior is worn-down, but added to the charm. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch. The atmosphere was fun and you can tell that the locals love it and them all. If we lived even remotely close by, we would eat here often.
Everyone was nice. They were so busy and had to open an extra room for us. It was after 10 am, so no more pancakes. We both decided on lunch. I had 2 piece chicken lunch with mashed potatoes and gravy and a salad. My husband had a combo hamburger deal, which included a hamburger, french fries and 3 onion rings. The food was so good and very inexpensive.
Breakfast was delicious! Huge portions for the price, none of us were able to finish all our food, and our coffee cups were never empty. Unassuming from the outside, but a real hidden gem! Kid & Sr. friendly as well. Waitresses were so friendly and the perfect amount of attentive, they didn't hover but were right there if we needed something. If we're ever through this quirky little town again, we look forward to trying out the lunch menu!
Food was very good tried several different things. The roast was very good. Very homemade reminds you of grandmas food. Definitely worth a stop if you are visiting or passing through.
What a great place! That fantastic home made flavor only a family owned cafe can produce. There was one gentleman working the front right at lunch rush. He never missed a beat and always came to the table with a smile. The BLT was wonderful on toasted homemade bread. The burgers were juicy and full of flavor. Definitely the first stop when we bring company in to visit Lucas.
K-18 Cafe is a destination stop of its own! We had the most delicious home cooked breakfast- the hash browns were incredible! Dave made us a cute turtle pancake which made our day. Dave and Kiera chatted with us for a while about the town- very friendly folk! Thank you so much for a fantastic meal and experience! :)
