Delicious pokebowls with fresh ingredients. Service was friendly but slow. Nice alternative to other cuisines in the area
Nice service and location. Food was very good but somehow lacking a special character.
It was such an amazing lunch we had before the end of our holiday leaving Provence! The salad with teriyaki chicken was so nice, very well seasoned and the chicken was so tender. The groupa I had was very soft and the sauce with the chorizo was perfect with the fish. These dishes were paired with the restaurant’s favourite white wine. To finish we had café gourmand, a rather refreshing one compared to other café gourmand I had before, perfect for such hot weather in Provence!
Simple Poke options with fresh ingredients and great indoor vibes (with AC!). However, the poke price to quality ratio does not compare to the many other poke options in Aix. Would still recommend for a quick (and pricey) sit down Poke spot.
A chance discovery for a wonderful lunch of home cooked food. Delicious and very tasty. Service excellent and friendly and assisted us with translation of words we did not understand
Nice light refreshing lunch. Good service, friendly staff, fresh healthy food.
We decided to take a day trip to Aix en Provence and boy was it worth it. It feels like a million miles away from the hustle-bustle-gritty Marseille (which we love). We walked around the very pretty old town and came across many places that seemed to us to be part of the tourist circuit, so we opted for this venue which seemed just a little bit out of the way; boy we were so glad we did! This is a small bistro which is run by a multi-generational family. Everybody in the family seemed to be working there during our visit. Our waiter was just great and his friendly enthusiasm shone through which really impressed us; and bears well for the future of this long-established restaurant should he stick with it. We sat outside and didn’t go in, and from our view it is quite a small place. We liked the menu of simple French cuisine (though we were not sure about the Poké bowls, which we didn’t select). Our mains of veal and beef with local seasonal veg were superb (in my enthusiasm, I forgot to take photos). The wine list was quite limited but we were very happy with our selection (it was probably the best wine we had on our trip). We opted for a cheese selection and a dessert to share. The cheeses (from the local market) were fantastic. We found the dessert to be too much, but we persisted and finished it. Our bill for bottled water, 2 aperitifs, bottle of wine, 2 mains and the desserts came to €115 which we thought to be astounding value for the quality of food, and our satiety at the end! We definitely want to return to Aix en Provence again as we’d like to experience the town and the local region in more detail. When we return, Le Petit Palais will be top of our revisit list. Thank you for giving us a fantastic meal, we truly appreciated it.
