Had an amazing experience at Mariposa in Coral Gables, Florida! The ambiance was delightful, service top-notch, and the seasonal specials were a culinary delight. The desserts, especially the crème brûlée and carrot cake, were a sweet ending to a perfect meal. Afterward, we enjoyed exploring the fantastic stores at the mall. A day well spent, and we'll definitely be back!
Very nice lunch spot. Food was fresh and really nice views. This place is located on the 3rd level of Neiman Marcus. The service is good, when busy a little slow. The food tasted great and drinks were good too. They give you bread with a sweet butter very nice combo. They also give you some Bone broth before your meal which I have never had but was actually very good and has a lot of benefits (googled it) jaja! The tuna tartar super fresh and paired great with the soy sauce on the side. Loved that the lobster sandwich actually had a good amount of lobster. The pasta had an amazing flavor and nice big pieces of crab. The raspberry sorbet was a nice finish. Would definitely go back it’s a great option after doing some shopping.
Highlight to Tim! Thank you for your great service First time coming to Mariposa and my experience was exquisite. We sat outside, the server brought bread and broth on the house to start. We ordered the tuna tartare, the steak sandwich and a crab dish. Everything was very tasty! I will come back to try your cocktails.
I had lunch with my family. We ordered tuna as an appetizer, salmon as a main entrance and couscous with chicken. The quality of food was fresh and good. The service was kind and friendly from the hostess to the waitress. They are dog friendly. This restaurant is located inside Newman Marcus after crossing the corner store. It’s worth it and it’s much better to eat in Mariposa than in the restaurants located inside the mall. I have eaten several times in the Merrick Park’s restaurants and they are not good at all because the quality of food and flavor is bad. So it’s better to eat here if you are shopping around. The place is cleaned. It’s not fancy and nothing special, the only thing special is the balcony, but the restaurant is not well decorated.
SoulEdge: Inception The news of Saks Fifth Ave acquiring Neiman Marcus. I had to stop by to dine there. I hope the Neiman Marcus name and its restaurants/cafes stay. Believe it or not it was my first time inside the store, some employees figured that out quickly. Yes I took pics, it's not meant to offend anyone, I apologize in advance. It will a shame not to showcase to the world the awesome displays. Inside Mariposa, Gabriel & Chloe (she's cool) gave me excellent service. I ordered the Lemon Butter Crab Pasta and Carrot cake. Love the Popover with strawberry butter (smooth silk texture) this visit dedicated to my then ex German American girlfriend. Cue in the songs "Lover (Remix)" by Taylor Swift feat. Shawn Mendes and "I Want It That Way" by Backstreet Boys
What a hidden gem. While shopping at Neimans hunger called and we decided to try the store's restaurant. I have eaten at neiman restaurants in Dallas and San Antonio, and I was not impressed by any stretch. So why try this one? Well, I was hungry, and it's hard to screw up a sandwich. I was completely blown away by the professionalism of the staff and the attention to detail. I ordered Aqua Panna and an ice tea, both presented in a pleasant fashion. They brought the first surprise, popovers. Yummy. The second surprise was a demitasse cup of chicken broth. Both elegant and tasty. Finally my main course was served. Chicken milanese. It was perfectly prepared.
Pleasantly surprised with this little back door department store balcony. Lively atmosphere and although it was busy, our waitress was doing her best and rushing around. All i can say is it appeared like she could use some help. We only tried a couple dishes but loved them both. My expectations were actually lower that what we received. Two thumbs up for the grilled steak sandwich. I ordered it rare and definitely enjoyed. The cheese and jam go well on sourdough. We also had the salmon tacos and ordered some extra fresh jalapeños on the side. I would recommend either if you have a bit of an appetite. The balcony has overhead fans but is great for cooler weather or evening meals, it does get hot midday.
