Oriental Garden has been a Banks mainstay as long as I've lived here. Their food is excellent and set my standards for American-Chinese comfort dishes. A highlight for me are their stir-fried dishes. Veggies are so crisp! Prices are very reasonable and portions are large. Best American-Chinese in the area.
We often stop at this restaurant when on one of our road trips that take us home through Banks because the food is always fresh and good; the service pleasant, and the atmosphere comfortable. It always surprises us, however, that it always seems barely occupied the times we've gone. My husband suggested a majority of their business could be take out. Anyway, the prices are higher than where we live (most $10 and up), but the serving sizes are such that we often have leftovers, so I suppose the prices are fair. We will return, as always.
Love this place! Has to be my favorite choice for Chinese cuisine. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious! Best egg flower soup in all the land!! The food is served quickly and my favorite waitress serves the best frozen strawberry margarita! Highly recommend
Good amount of food, friendly staff. Soup egg roll separate cost. Rice soft. Combo more economical
Just traveling though on way home from coast. First time here. Ordered 2 lo meins (veggies and chicken) and the sesame beef. Nice crisp to the beef. Good flavor and texture on the lo mein. Plan to stop in again wheb traveling through.
Very good restaurant and the food is good a little selfish with there Hot mustard.
Delicious food, convenient late hours and a wide selection with large portion sizes that are great for sharing. There is even a good selection of vegetarian dishes which I've certainly enjoyed on each visit. Service was always prompt and polite. Kid friendly, plenty of space for large groups as well. Oriental Garden may be tucked away behind a grocery store in a tiny town off Hwy 26, but it is a gem! You'll enjoy your visit and the food very much.
I have been eating at Oriental Gardens since they were located in McMinnville, OR. IMO, it is the best American Chinese food in Oregon. The service is always friendly and fast. The meals are large portions and the price is comparable to other places. I have read some of the reviews left and do not understand why they are so low, I have never had a bad meal, but maybe people are looking for more spicy chinese, this is traditional American Chinese food, not Szechuan.
