Stopped in for lunch while we were camping nearby. The brisket bites were fantastic, the service was wonderful, and fast too! I had the fish dinner, and it was excellent! Normally I would have preferred the fries with a little more salt, but these didn't need it! My wife had the chicken quesadilla, and she said it was also delicious!
Great find! Brisket bites appetizer was excellent! We had Ribs, pulled pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich and everyone said theirs was great!
I took a wrong turn one afternoon. Good vibes on the radio, and several chances turn later. I ended up here, and I was NOT disappointed... half sampler with baked beans and parsnip greens. Well stocked bar and a decent selection of beer. Draft and bottle..
There was an awesome band playing there called Eminence, they had a saxophone player and a great singer. The food is amazing! Ribs, brisket, fish, the best I've ever had and the portions are very generous. They also have a bar and pool table.
Stopped in on Veterans Day for dinner and was rewarded with an awesome meal in honor of my service. Thank you Portage Lake Parlor! Had the special rib dinner with a side of baked beans (I think they are the best anywhere) and coleslaw. The ribs were smoked perfectly, meaty and tender. I would definitely recommend the ribs. Also, they make a great Bloody Mary.
Nice local spot. Fully stocked bar. Brisket Nachos was huge and tasty. Good as a shareable dish. Barbecue is available Thursdays until they run out around Saturday.
Great food! Huge portions and great food prices. Well worth the visit and deserves multiple return trips! Super friendly staff, also. You can tell they take pride in what they're doing!
We went in a Wednesday and none of the smoked meats were ready. Their chicken wings were in special and everyone said they were great. I had a burger. It was awesome. All the people we were with loved their food. We say outside. Music started at 6:30 Great time. Great food
