Solé Uptown

Excellent. Everything was on point for our dinner out. The food, the service, the location, it was all great. The French onion soup was a nice way to start. The staff we very accommodating with some of our requests and our main courses we excellent. I had the braised beef short rib, which was very good. Followed by their triple chocolate layer cake.... That was excellent, so good, if you like chocolate, get the cake, you won't regret eatting all of it.

We love this place. Everything here is always perfect, from the flavor of the food to the presentation and the wonderful service. This time, we ordered the soup, the salmon, and the Pavlova. I order the Pavlova here every single time because this is the only place in KW that makes it — and they make it flawlessly. It’s one of the best Pavlovas I’ve ever had in my life.

Really great spot and had a wonderful dinner just before Christmas. Very good service from our server. Wine and steaks were done perfectly. I will go back. The crème brûlée was fantastic. Also really recommend the baked Brie.

An absolute gem! We hosted our wedding dinner here and couldn’t have been happier. Everything, from the food to the service, was exceptional. The private room was perfect for creating an intimate setting with our guests, and the décor, while simple, felt warm and charming. It was exactly the cozy, welcoming atmosphere we were hoping for.

Found this place while searching on Google for a nice spot to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and it turned out to be a great choice! The restaurant has a chic, classy vibe with stylish décor and just the right level of background music, loud enough to set the mood but not too much to talk over. The staff were super friendly and professional, and they really went out of their way to make our night special. We gave them a birthday cake to bring out as a surprise after dinner, and they handled it perfectly. We didn’t order a ton of food, mostly small plates and shareables, but everything we tried was delicious and nicely presented. Prices were very reasonable too, with no surprise fees or add-ons, which I really appreciate. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Big thanks to the team for making our evening so enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had dinner here for my mother’s birthday and it was wonderful! Food was delicious and service was friendly and quick considering how busy it was. The atmosphere is unique as the building is on the older side, and it’s got some nice charm to it. Overall a great gem in Waterloo! Definitely pop in if you’re looking for a nicer restaurant with great food in the Waterloo region. :)

Solé has always surpassed my expectations every time I’ve gone. The food is great each time I’ve been, the atmosphere is cozy but elegant still and the staff and service is amazing. We were celebrating last night my parents 40th anniversary with some family members. The night was perfect. The staff went above and beyond with our service. Very attentive, helpful, and kind. I believe our servers name was Teo , she did a superb job! If you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy experiences with either friends or family, I highly suggest going to Solé. Make sure to book a reservation though! It’s normally always busy, so planning ahead will help with any disappointment. You can sometimes get a walk in spot at the bar

We went to Solé for my mom's 80th birthday and we had an amazing meal. Our server Emily was excellent, we could not ask for better service. The food was amazing, we all enjoyed our meals. We had never tried Solé before but we saw a post on Facebook from our wedding florist Kathy Holford (Petalula); she posted some pics about Solé because she recently decorated the restaurant with beautiful holiday wreaths and greenery. It looked like such a nice place in the photos that we wanted to check it out, along with her holiday decor. We were not disappointed, it was beautiful! We can't wait to go back to Solé!
