Stones Pico

Stones Pico did not disappoint! Excellent food, great atmosphere, great view of Pico mountain, and friendly service. If you have not tried steak on the stone, I highly recommend trying this restaurant.

Very nice experience to cook your own produce (meat or fish) to your liking on a hot stone. Also not cheap the quality of food and experience itself makes it worth a visit.

Stones is a unique dining experience perfect for a date night! The friendly staff, pleasant decor, and smooth jazz playlist come together for a very soothing aesthetic. The lava rock (stone) experience is a fun dining twist/experience. They offer three choices for protein: beef, pork or catch of the day. We ordered beef and pork. Both were amazing.

Stones is a stand out. It is located in a quaint little village in the island of Pico. This is truly a unique dining concept that you will certainly love. My wife and I dined here and we were super surprised about the cleanliness and the wonderful waitress we had from Latvia. She was on her toes the entire time and aimed to please. Bathrooms were super clean and the ambiance was serene and “ zenny”. I chose the delicious and fresh tuna, and my wife had aged steak, which we carefully prepared on the supplied super hot lava stones. We were told that the Tuna came from another island because it is harpooned and free of stress , yielding a tastier fish. We had lots of fun cooking for ourselves RIGHT AT THE TABLE. It was safe and the end result was a deliciously prepared meal. We also were supported by a very pleasant and informative gentleman of French decent. He was a very hard working staff member worthy of high praise . Check out this wonderful restaurant!!

Absolutely incredible restaurant from start to finish! The atmosphere was fab, incredible views of Mount pico, amazing service, and every dish was a real experience. We started with the bread sharer (the butter alone was worth coming for!) and then shared the beef and tuna — cooking them on the hot lava stone was not only delicious but such a fun, interactive way to eat. The banoffee pie for desert was increíble! Service couldn’t have been friendlier, and I loved how easy it was to book via Instagram — they were super flexible when I needed to make changes.

Nice concept of self grilling on hot stones. Good service and good quality of meets. Cheese platter starter was disappointing with tiny amount of cheese.

We got tuna and pork, super fresh both! Nice garnishes, good wine, cosy terrace! And they have the best banoffee cake I have ever eaten!

Fantastic food paired with an incredible view of the mountain! It was an unforgettable experience with very friendly English-speaking staff. Would definitely recommend spending an evening here and ordering starter, main, and desert as all are worth it. Great quality for the price and a cozy and easy atmosphere. Will come again, 10/10.
