First time dining here due to altered Mother's Day Dinner plans. Ordered the Smokehouse platter for the wife and I. Daughter ordered the Smoked Chicken Clubhouse with Onion Rings that came with a dill pickle dip. Omg that dip is amazing. We enjoyed our platter very much. The only thing on the platter that was disappointing was the Mac and cheese. Didn't look like some of the other pics in the reviews. The taste was just okay. The open Sunday Jam was nice to have as music while we ate dinner. Our Server Kennedy was very nice and attentive as it wasn't super busy. Even the bartender chatted with us as we were leaving. Nice friendly staff.
What a fun place. Kid friendly! Easy on the pocketbook. The staff is so attentive and made our evening. Our server Auraura was an absolute gem! The staff on the door greeted and seated us promptly. The food was fairly quick. It was hot and delicious. The platter for 2 was sooo much food that we are taking home leftovers! The apple crisp was delicious and I really enjoyed the raspberry mojito mocktail. Not too sweet! We are coming back. So nice to see that there is a place still committed to customer service excellence, great smiles, and good portions.
I thought I would check out this bar since the previous establishment I liked was shut down. This was unfortunate as I did like it but new opportunities heh! Next door to this bar is Earls, now while I like their food, I try to support new local business. I noted a prior reviewer indicating the Thirsty atmosphere is bland-it is true! I'm thinking that this may change in the future, I hope so. Their bathroom had more bar ambience (see pics) Service was great. The staff were friendly (Angelica and Maddy) and on top of keeping their customers happy. I ordered the $10.00 Monday Weekly Feature Fish and Chips. The fish was cod and it wasn't over battered or over cooked. The chips were equally as good. They have events on Wed (trivia night) and live entertainment on Saturdays. I can't speak to either evenings as I have not attended. With checking out and good luck to the local owner.
Thirsty Rooster is a pub located in St. Albert and today we visited them for the first time to try some of their old and new menu items! Here’s what we ordered: - smokehouse platter (brisket, sausage links, jalapeño cornbread, Mac & cheese, roasted brussels, and purple cabbage slaw) - birria style brisket street tacos with cotija cheese, pico de gallo and cilantro lime crema - chili lime prawn rice bowl with pineapple salsa, chili spiced black beans, and cilantro crema - house churros with salted caramel dip, chocolate ganache and vanilla ice cream For drinks we got the polar park pink panther raspberry witbier and the cappachini cocktail - both were tasty and refreshing Safe to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal and look forward to returning again soon! These guys recently introduced a new lunch and brunch menu so I would definitely recommend checking it out as there’s something for everyone
The vibe in here on a Friday is electric. They have a DJ at 9:30 pm and the tunes were so pumpin we got up and danced for an hour. We had to wait a bit for food but it was worth the wait. The Mac and cheese was so cheesy and delicious. Also ordered The Bird and it was mouth watering. The fries are hand cut and hot and tasty as well. They have specials every day of the week, but I’m especially looking forward to ladies night lol! A great local pub with tasty food. Highly recommend.
Looking for a place that could give us a little BBQ taste, some nice drinks , a break from the grind of reality, well we found it. Spent a little time here at the Thirsty rooster and sampled some of the local cuisine and drinks. Need a little break and some good food, go down and check them out.
First time visitor to the Thirsty Rooster. Came to see the Devon Blake Band. The acoustics here are amazing, the food tastes great and the service is top notch. Nice to see a young group of line dancers out along with timely cold drinks and a fun, positive atmosphere. I will definitely be back and 100% will attend another, if not all of the Devon Blake Band shows. Great job all around!
Always good food, cold beer, smiling faces and a good guitarist. Give the burger a try- the best around. **edit** To the reviewer who had the HH chicken sandwich and brisket sandwich- this was our experience. Give them another go- our experience was waaaay different than yours. Meaty, crunchy, tasty. Definitely awesome.
Just stopped in for a beer but will definitely be back! Great atmosphere, loads of brews on tap and friendly staff
Good service. Reasonable priced for the quality. Decent selection of craft beers. The day we were there, they were short on a few menu items. No big deal. I will return.
Service was great. Food was absolutely delicious! Dishes maybe you haven't seen before to order from a menu.
The food was phenomenal. The pulled pork pizza is worth a return trip. We sat on the patio however, and found out the hard way that several chairs were broken. It also looked like, despite being open, it wasn't set up yet. The live music inside was aggressively loud however, so not much of an option there. We also discovered that after a certain time there is a $20 cover charge; look, some of the best clubs I've ever been to didn't have the gaul to ask that much at the door, and this place is a LONG way off. If they fix the patio, great place for BBQ though.
