Tommys Tavern + Tap

We went Saturday and Sunday as they have a variety of food for all. We were visiting the area. Staying at the local hotel for a wedding. We stoped in Saturday for drinks and something light. Then Sunday for dinner. The staff is very attentive. Both days the manager came over to make sure all was well. I had a pear martini both days. The pretzel appetizer, the Mediterranean board. We ordered chicken tacos. Pizza. Hot wings. Potato soup. Both days everything was great. I highly recommend. I’m a vegetarian and my only wish is that they made their own specialty veggie burger without using the “impossible” meat. That stuff is gross.

The food here is consistently good but what always impresses me is their dedication to great service. Waiters are friendly and very attentive - will check in on the table regularly and are always on top of drink refills. Managers are always visible on the floor and checking in as well. Everything on the menu is solid, the wings and Bavarian pretzel in particular are always a stand out. Personally, I enjoy a cup of their French Onion soup in the winter with their French Dip sandwich.

TT never disappoints. Serving mostly traditional american food, selection of pizzas, some sushi rolls and poke bowls. The staff is very friendly and the food is always fresh and tasty. My personal favorites are the salmon poke bowl and fried calamari. Other dishes I have tried include French dip, chicken sandwich, burgers, chicken tenders, beet salad... their fries are amazing!

Always great food and great atmosphere here. Every visit to here in recent memory has been absolutely outstanding and tonight stood out among the rest. I’m not sure how they made a crispy chicken sandwich so good, but I’ll take it! The flatbreads are also very good.

Tommy’s Tavern in Freehold is one of those places that just works. The menu is classic American with something for everyone—burgers, pizzas, hearty salads, and even the fun curveball of sushi. It’s a spot where you can bring the whole family, meet a date, or catch a game with friends over beers. If cocktails are more your thing, their martinis make for the perfect gossip companion. Yes, it’s loud and always packed—but that’s part of its charm. Tommy’s is versatile, consistent, and lively, which is why it never seems to falter. It’s not fine dining, but it delivers exactly what you expect every time, and that reliability is worth four stars.

Fun place! We popped in for the first time as we are visitors in the area. Food was pretty good! I had the ribs and they were mouthwatering….Very tender. There are a lot of options on the menu and I look forward to going back sometime to try another dish. Although it will be hard to pass up on ordering the ribs again! As this is a bar, albeit a high-end bar, it is a bit loud. However, the service was great and the food was quite good so I was willing to overlook the noise level. We enjoyed our evening.

Food was outstanding. Our party of 4 was very happy with their steaks. I had French onion soup, cheese curds and truffle fries. It was received in a timely manner. all food was hot and delicious. staff were courteous, and tended very well to us. The atmosphere was very dark, though, and had a hard time reading the menus. It was extraordinarily loud, which I expect and is not a bad experience, just a warning to those sensitive to loud places. overall a great place
