You open the door and you feel like you are in a different state. Great relaxing lunch where I imagined I was in a small beach town eating fresh seafood!
What a gem of a restaurant! We love supporting family owned restaurants and this one is exceptional! They also have a seafood market where you can purchase a huge variety of fresh fish and shellfish that you never see in any other stores. We began with crab cakes and then moved on to mussels with garlic white wine sauce and a lobster roll with whale chips. Everything was perfectly prepared and tasted delicious! Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant lighting is nice, soft...unlike the harsh, too bright lighting of many other restaurants these days. Our only suggestion for the ambience is to play something other than country music: maybe yacht rock (to match the feel of the nautical vibe), classic rock, or maybe even alternative/indie rock. We will definitely be back soon!!
We saw this restaurant on Fried, Fresh and Crispy and wanted to check it out. The service was fast and attentive. The nautical atmosphere was delightful. And the food was superb. I had the signature Almond Crusted Hogfish and it was well worth it.
This place is amazing! Their menu is mind blowing, the food is to die for, and the staff and service is top notch! This place has become a favorite to my husband and I! The lobster Mac is my favorite! My husband loves the lobster rolls!
I went on a Sunday and oysters are on discount and are amazingly delicious! Also got the clam chowder and it's delightful - full of clams. Added a taste of pepper and it was perfect. The Mahi was also phenomenal. Homemade chips are delicious as well. And the fish counter was inspiring! I can't wait to go back to buy fish to cook at home!
Great food as always. Our server was very nice. Jack and Jill shrimp was fried just right and great in the white sauce they give with it. The raw oysters that were on Sunday special were very fresh. Got the brown bag swordfish. Will say the jerk sauce is NOT for everyone. It is pretty spicy but delicious. The rice and Brussel sprouts are perfect sides. Never got a steak here before this but the tenderloin was amazing! Cut like butter and had amazing flavor. The king crab was sweet and meaty. Thank you big mac and little lu for always giving us a good time when we come to visit
Like many others writing reviews, this first got on my radar from watching Fresh, Fried & Crispy. I've gone here twice and had the Almond-Crusted Hogfish, King Crab Dinner and the Lobster Mac & Cheese twice. The hogfish was pretty good. It had a nice buttery taste to it which, after reading online, I guess that's pretty standard. It was really soft on the inside. I'm not huge into seafood so I don't have a wide base of comparison for this plate, although I did think it was a little overpriced. The rice was pretty good but it was a little too moist in my opinion. The veggies were steamed pretty well - they were soft without being soggy. The King Crab Dinner was solid as well, but nothing I would buy again. I am a mac & cheese person and this was one of the better mac & cheese dishes I have had (very creamy). If I go to this restaurant a third time, I will get it again.
Delicious. Seems like a great atmosphere. Went during off hours (only reason it isn't five stars for service is because I have no idea what service is like during busy times) - our service was attentive and kind. Food was delicious
