Black Pearl has the best oyster deal in town. In addition, they also serve a nice array of non oyster dishes. I recommend the Moroccan Octopus, which comes with a lovely and velvety sauce that plays nicely with the grilled octopus. The mushrooms Neptune were just okay, the sauce overpowered any king crab flavor. Black Pearl features a lot of cocktails, and some of them are gimmicky. The room is nice, and well located. You can tell that they do try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for their guests. Reservations are highly recommended. 4*

I went to Black Pearl for the great buck a shuck deal! $1 per Oyster and wow we put them away! Extremely fresh and delicious. We also ordered their Caesar Flight and those were pretty great. The atmosphere and attention to detail in the design and decide of the restaurant is one of the best in all of Edmonton. It’s a nice dark ambience. Great place for a nice date night and great spot for seafood lovers.

Absolutely loved my experience at Black Pearl Seafood! The service was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the unlimited $1 oysters were truly a fantastic deal. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this place for a perfect seafood night out!

My wife and I came here the other night for our anniversary. It was our first time and I can say confidently that the experience was immaculate. The vibe was so relaxing but still elegant. My wife got the oysters, which she said were some of the best she's had in the city. Our server, Shyenne, was an absolute delight. She came by often to check on us which we really appreciated. All of our needs were taken care of thanks to her. She really made our night special, even wishing us a happy anniversary. Overall one of the best experiences we've had dinning out in a long time. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming again very soon.

We accidentally showed up at the wrong location for pur reservation. No worries the bartender and server (sadly i cant remember names) took VERY good care of us! Service was outstanding, food was over the top delicious! 10 out of 10 we will be returning. My only star lose; music was terrible, but that is my personal opinion.

Black Pearl is a seafood-focused restaurant and bar bringing East Coast-style fresh seafood to Edmonton with a nautical, cozy vibe and creative drinks. They source a variety of seafood (including oysters, prawns, clams, lobster, mussels, etc.) and pair it with fun cocktails and seasonal menus. Reservation is recommended, especially on busy nights my favorite seafood spot in the city

I have been seeing tiktok's of this restaurant for so long and was so excited to finally try it but let me tell you the videos didn't prepare me for how amazing the food was! For starters, the service was absolutely amazing. Our server Cheyenne had us cracking up all night! Her and the bartender were outstanding! We were late for our reservation, but they didn't make us feel rushed at all, we laughed, sang and joked until the very end it felt like being out to dinner with friends! When we came in our plan was a few appetizers and a main dish each so we could try a little bit of everything, when we asked our server to recommend a dish she ended up selling us on the kings platter. She was absolutely right that if you want to try a little bit of everything it was the right platter for us. The seafood was incredible, and each bowl had a different sauce. We were absolutely stuffed, and still had enough to take home so even with the price we had absolutely no regrets at the end of the night! Overall amazing experience and can't wait to come back!

I snagged a dinner reservation at a very unique establishment on Saturday night. It was a seafood restaurant with the decor to match the menu. I ordered a Seafood Risotto ($35.95), a Virgin Mango Mule ($7.5) and Pistachio Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake ($15.85). My risotto was amazing and consisted of red snapper, tiger prawns, calamari, mussels and red pepper on a bed of risotto with a yellow curry cream sauce. I found it to be very flavourful, and honestly reminded me of ramen broth flavour wise. My mule was delicious as well. However my cheesecake while good didn’t hit the mark. It was house made and you can’t go wrong with house made, but I couldn’t taste the pistachio nor the hazelnut. Otherwise, it was a good cheesecake. The staff and patrons were all extremely friendly. I struck up conversations with many of them and everyone gave me some very good brunch or dinner recommendations. Can’t thank them enough for an amazing solo meal and good conversation. I highly recommend this establishment. They have amazing seafood options and LOTS of oysters.

If you’re in YEG and you haven’t tried their OYSTERS - don’t walk, RUN! Each bite has so much flavour and is smooth! Hands down THE BEST oysters I’ve ever had. Their food starting from appetizers to desserts are to perfection ! My friend and I always look forward to catching up here because their customer service, atmosphere, and FOOD are 10/10! I highly recommend their downtown location.

boyfriend picked out this place for date night, first time here for both of us. we shared the mussels with white wine garlic butter and the grilled seafood platter. the mussels were to die for. i could have drank the sauce like soup. the risotto in the grilled platter was beautifully prepared. all the seafood was cooked to perfection, and the portion size was perfect for the two of us. cheyenne was an amazing host! lots of laughs, very attentive, ensured all my gluten free needs were met. our table was a bit small, but we never had empty dishes on the table for more than a minute before being cleared away. we've agreed we'll definitely be back for our next date night!

I came in earlier this week for dinner and had several dishes such as: the buck a shuck, lobster risotto, ceviche, and cheesecake. The accessories to the oysters were fun and well portioned. I felt some of the oysters were a lot smaller but can appreciate that for a buck a shuck it is still a good value. The ceviche was an interesting take and I personally wasn't a fan but that's personal preference, it was a very large portioned dish and good value. The Lobster risotto tasted very good and was seasoned very well . It had a good texture to it and the seafood was cooked well and wasn't rubbery. The cheesecake was also generously portioned. One area that could have been improved was that we were served a double shot on one of our drinks when we asked for a single and that wasn't caught until the bill had already been paid. Overall, the quality of the food was great, and the atmosphere was done really well. I think the menu options were diverse and it was fun, I would recommend trying out the Black Pearl, its close by downtown and worth checking out.
