I finally stopped in to Buku Seafood in Wiggins, Ms. I got a pound of boiled crawfish and 2 grilled shrimp tacos. The crawfish were perfect! The grilled shrimp tacos were good too. Glad I dropped in and will definitely be back!
My go to place for live crawfish! Always the best size around! The staff is also amazing!
The fries and Coleslaw were excellent. The fish breading needs a little work leave the flour out the catfish was tasteless, it had absolutely no seasoning and was slightly over priced for a basket..the building was spotless the older lady at the counter was very sweet hopefully the fish improves #Ochoa
Shrimp poboy was wonderful! Needs more of everything on the sandwich, especially shrimp. There was only about 8 on a not quite 12" quite sub roll.
Our shrimp, fish, and oysters were fried well, maybe just slightly over- cooked on the oysters. No iodine taste to the shrimp whatsoever!! French fries were great but note that WE requested them extra crispy. The restaurant was decorated very cute. My parents are elderly and disabled so sitting in a folding chair was difficult for them. My mom opted to just sit on her walker. You have to order at a counter and pay first. Here is where they lost stars in my opinion: there is a sign saying each "dip" ( tarter/cocktail sauce) is $.50 for 2 Oz and they ask you how many you want. I personally feel "dips" at a seafood restaurant should be part of doing business. I don't know how many I need until I see my food! Drinks were another issue for me. I asked for tea and was told it was in the fountain. OK. Not the best but I can live with it. I paid $2.80 for EACH 12 oz. tea only to get to the fountain to fill my drink myself to find that the tea is EXTRA SWEET. Not good for a diabetic family. The only sugar free options were diet coke and water but because I had to pay in advance, I spent nearly $12 on water and one diet coke. Thankfully, the food was good!!!
Their shrimp tacos were amazing and filling! Fast service! Amazing people! Clean environment and good prices for seafood!
The crawfish and shrimp were awesome, best I’ve had in a long time, and the staff was super friendly. Loved how easy all the seafood peeled. I’ll definitely be back.
Fabulous food!!!!! The boil bags need a Lil seasoning but delicious & affordable!
