I stopped by while in NY with some friends and the food was amazing. We missed breakfast by a few minutes which I was sad about but we caught lunch and I’m so glad that we did. I honestly had a hard time letting the food cool down enough to eat. I got some kind of beef stew and it was very flavorful. The meat tasted like it was marinated, it picked up whatever it was soaked in very well. The banchan was fresh and delicious. We ate them all by themselves before the food even arrived. The staff was nice and patient. There was an odor that I didn’t like and it did upset my stomach. I think it might have been coming from outside though. Honestly the best Korean food I’ve had. I’ll definitely come back during another visit.
Love this spot. Been coming for years. Has some of the BEST KOREAN DISHES in Queens and, dare I say, in NY. The staff can be very distracted at times but will get you what you need when requested. Recommend dishes: - Soondae guk (blood sausage stew) - pork bone hangover stew - grilled Mackerel www
The trend of goated asian restaurants having only a 3.5 rating strikes again. This is one of my favorite spots for legit korean food, if this place opened in manhattan k-town it would put 80% of the mediocre joints on that filthy street out of business. I can eat this everyday ong
I’ve been here several times and the food is pretty consistently good. The food is also very reasonably priced and the banchan is always unique and delicious. By the way, this is a rare establishment that serves brown and purple rice!! They also currently have a breakfast special and are open 24/7. We ordered the cattle blood soup combo with grilled spareribs and the beef tofu soup with grilled soondae. My friend said the cattle blood soup was great but my beef tofu soup was okay (strangely a bit sweet, possibly due to the onions). The grilled spareribs were also a bit sweet (but probably due to the glaze) but the soondae that came on a hot plate was delicious. Previously, we’ve order bossam, beef rib soup, and spicy beef soup with scallion (yukgaejang) and all of those dishes I would highly recommend! They also have a few parking spots in front which come in very handy.
This will be my go to spot for Gamjatang and kimchi soups. They have amazing flavors with large portions for the right price. Blood sausage was ok but the soups are great.
honestly the place is awesome, i came here with a friend today, the food was amazing, we got 순대국 and 보쌈. I can definitely say they have the best 순대 i’ve ever tried. The service was also great, very welcoming staff and atmosphere, it was great to be able to speak with them in korean, would definitely recommend.
Absolutely genuine korean food especially soup are fantastic.. Morning menu is $9.99!!
visited at night so there was only one waitress (bless her). however, the food still came out relatively quickly and was fairly busy despite it being around 10pm. food was delicious and priced fairly. would recommend the cattle blood soup
