Fantastic as always! I love coming here and it was the perfect choice for Valentine's Day. Calm and quiet with wonderful food and great kind service! I feel really lucky they have so many tofu options and they're all delicious. Thank you again to the staff of Thai Cafe, we had a wonderful time!
We went here after reading the reviews and the reviews don’t lie. Don’t get fooled by the decor or lack of it, but food is just amazing and priced very reasonably. The owner is also your server. It was 100 outside and crowded when we went and he still managed to get all our orders in. He also gave us Thai chili flakes to take home. The yellow curry and special fried rice was lick worthy. We also loved mango with sticky rice (topped with fried mung beans) so much that we ended up having 3 (yes 3).
My family and I have come to the Thai cafe for over a decade now. We live about an hour or so from it so we visit on our way to and from traveling, otherwise it would be a weekly/monthly staple for us. We love the curries, especially the yellow curry. Also the fresh spring rolls are a light but delicious starter for your meal. Service is friendly and attentive! -The only change I would suggest is that the aquarium needs some extra attention. The fish don’t have any coral or structures to play with/hide in. It is an empty tank and makes me feel bad for the little fish who must be bored to tears.
My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch while passing through Harrisonburg, and Wow !!! what a find! As someone coming from Bangkok, I can tell you these flavors are the real deal. We ordered a feast (4-5 different dishes), and every single one was amazingly good. The Mango Sticky Rice is a must-order! The service was very polite, the food came out quickly, and the prices were completely reasonable. If you see old reviews, ignore them; this place is fantastic and deserves the support. We left happy and full. Highly recommended!
My husband and i decided to stop and try this place out for a quick lunch date. We were both impressed by how fast our food was out to us!! The food was fresh, and so good!!! We ordered the pineapple fried rice and one of their curry dishes. We loved how they put a lot more veggies in their dishes than most of the thai restaurants we've ate at! The service was the food was !!! I highly recommend this restaurant! We will definitely be stopping in again on our next trip to harrisonburg!!
Spring rolls, chicken pad Thai, red Thai curry, cashew chicken were all good. Also had popcorn chicken for kids. They made gluten free dishes as well. Five stars all around and reasonable prices.
I have ate here a few times since i’ve came to JMU and I love it. Also, the Panang curry is delicious, I get it every time. The food also comes out very quick!
We have been here several times. This time I got the cashew pork, my wife got the special thia fried rice, we shared the deep fried meat balls, the steam dumplings and the hot green tea. The food is awesome, comes out quick and hot. Dude has a full house and still manages to be very attentive and generous. The hot chili oil is outrageous! This is not like what they have at the Chinese Buffett, this is the real deal. So be careful. Lol. We will definitely be back.
