The Galata Butcher Grill

My husband and I have been going here for several years and absolutely love this place. The owner, Serhan, seems to know every patron and attends to any needs whether it be behind the register, the grill or taking orders himself. The place has transformed to semi-luxury dining with a wide variety at affordable prices. You see the food fresh and watch it being made with care. Family friendly and perfect for date night, you feel the spirit and culture of Turkey throughout the space.

We came here for the first time as a group of 9. We liked the ambience, decorations, the authenticity. Initially our table was close to the door and it was freezing outside, so it felt cold. They changed our table later and then it was warm and nice. We loved that you can see all the food on display and they are cooking right behind the encounter. Everything seems very clean. We ordered chicken sac kavurma, chicken shish kaban, lamb shish kabab, kusleme, beyti, iskender, chicken nuggets, french fries, ceasar salad, inegol kofte as main course, plus the drinks. They were ALL delicious. Then we had trileche, gullac, kazandibi, kunefe, katmer and Turkish tea. Oh my, they were ALL delicious despite us being full already. Usually in these places, the tea tastes sour, but this wasn't. The service was great, they were veey attentive and accommodating and the plates/servings were so authentic and cute. And we paid (if we take average) 33$ per person. This quality and taste, that's just wonderful. We really enjoyed our visit, probably would come more often. Highly recommend!

We tried liver and lamp shish kebab it was really good also stuffed mussels and kokorec all delicious definitely recommended.

Good food overall. It was not as good as some other Turkish restaurants but given the reasonable pricing of the food, it's well worth it. Service and ambiance in the restaurant was very good. We ordered the Shared Family mixed platter, which is good for up to 4 people. First time here and will be back again in future.

Galata Butcher & Grill offers excellent quality meat, perfectly grilled and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm, the staff is friendly, and the service is fast. Great portions and fair prices for the quality. Highly recommended for Turkish food lovers.

We came all the way from Virginia just to try their unique dishes like kelle paça, kokoreç, and midye dolma and it was absolutely worth it! The food was delicious, the service was fast, and the whole experience felt authentic. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely delicious! The meat was tender and full of flavor, perfectly grilled and served beautifully on a large wooden platter. The presentation with the fire was amazing ,it really made the experience special. Everything tasted fresh, from the rice to the lavash bread. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and authentic. Highly recommend this place if you want real Turkish food!

We were in the area and need some Baba Ganoush and Hummus. This place came up in a Google search. Gentleman working there was very helpful. The Baba Ganoush was amazing as was the fresh bread that goes with it. We even put it on some Borek that we had bought elsewhere. Looking forward to eating in and having some Kebab. Highly recommend.
