First time trying West African food and wow… Sene Grill might’ve ruined boring takeout for me. I got the jerk chicken with cabbage and rice and peas, and it slapped hard. The chicken had actual spice (not that “mild” nonsense places usually try to pass off), the cabbage wasn’t some sad boiled afterthought, and the rice and peas actually had flavor. I cleaned the plate like I hadn’t eaten in a week. If you’re the type who thinks Olive Garden is “exotic,” maybe stick to that. But if you want food that actually tastes like something, Sene Grill is where you need to be.

The fatwa was perfectly cooked, crunchy and savory. We both loved it and would order it again, and, recommend it to anyone. The second dish, I cannot recall its name, was a peanut butter lamb stew served with rice. It was rich and delicious. We both loved it for the creamy comfort food that it was. There were bones in the lamb, so please be aware. Our two drinks were also a huge hit, one the native tree fruit and the other hibiscus, both so fruit and much more flavorful than we expected. We strongly recommend Sene Grill, a real treat for Ohio.

First time at Sene Grill, I was blown away by the quality of the food. This is even after reading reviews and sing so many people compliment the flavors. I ordered the oxtail Curry and the wings with a jerk seasoning. Both have moderate heat on them, are well seasoned with deep flavors, and have the perfect balance of salt. It doesn't taste salty, but the seasoning on it brings out the flavors that really define the dish. While the main star of the oxtail dish is delicious in its own right, the salad, plantain, and rice &beans are cooked with as much care and attention as the other elements. Fresh salad, fragrant plantain, and rice and beans with enough softness to soak up the curry while retaining a firm texture to deliver a satisfying bite. I'm all for a repeat trip to Sene Grill, and will explore the variety of dishes they have in the coming months. The friendliness of staff, the quality of food, and speed of service were all on point today. For a first time experience, I'm absolutely sold.

1st time trying Senegalese food. Ordered Beef Chawarma and Oxtails. I'm from Louisiana, so I value seasoning and spices. It it definitely surpassed my expectations. Im a truck driver and it's very hard to find great food on the road. I Will definitely be going back.

First time eating Senegalese food, and this was the perfect place to try! The owner came out and offered suggestions, allowed us to sample their homemade juices, and really made our experience deliciously delightful! The jerk chicken had amazing flavor, with a bit of a kick (which I loved)! The plaintain was perfectly cooked for the perfect sweetness to balance the spice. The thiebou ganaar was also a plate full of new flavors with different preparations of cabbages. The homemade hot sauce was great flavor but spicy!! We ended up buying 4 of their 5 juices, because they were all so unique and refreshing. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to return and try more dishes!

Food was great, we had the charwa minus the fries. Delicious jerk chicken tomato pasta, soup and fufu. All was good. The only down side was the fufu was too soft/sticky. Came out quick to my surprise but everything was hot fresh
