Thahaitian patties were that great as I thought they would be. They were very flaky however there wasn't enough meat on them.
Best Haitian patty in all of New Jersey. Perfectly made each time. Cannot be topped.
If you're in the need Haitian Patti that is tasty and beautifully golden with a nice flaky crust, plus amazing fillings of your choice! This would be a life changing experience. Only reason I can make that bold statement, is because I have not gone back to other places. But this place I have come back multiple times.
We ordered nearly 200 patties for our wedding, pretty last minute. La Boulangerie delivered them on time and had our guests raving about the taste! Great staff and amazing food.
Tasty patties and good service. Everything is a fair price! Once we got there, the business name was different but we enjoyed it. There’s a selection of bread, sweet treats like tablet and homemade drinks- we got the limeade which was very good and refreshing with the patties
I’m originally from Brooklyn I moved here, almost two years ago and me being the foodie that I am, I’ve been trying to not just find and substitute the variety of cuisine that I’m accustomed to enjoying on a daily basis, but also exceed my expectations, I love almost all types of food but that’s a story for another day, back on track…I absolutely love Haitian food, the Griot, Tassot Cabrit & most of all that beautiful flaky patty that only Haitian bakers can make so perfectly, but like all things, there is good, better and best, I’ve tried a few Haitian restaurants, in and around Irvington,Newark and East Orange, the best patties and Griot I’ve had thus far is La Boulangerie, let me say this again “the best that I’ve had of the places that I’ve tried in Essex, has been La Boulangerie” the food is so good that I’m not in a rush to try other Haitian restaurants, I almost forgot the Pickli is
Bought 3 different kind of patties--chicken, beef and cod. I only tasted a chicken patty which was delicious and flakey. It had a generous amount of well seasoned and minced chicken inside. I ordered the 24 patties around 7:30 a.m. to take to my sister's; who is in a nursing home. I picked them up around 10:00 a.m. They were put in 2 great boxes. The best part was that they gave me a free Patty to eat. Just delicious!!!
Ordered a 3 tier cake at La Baguette in Elizabeth to be picked up here, for me to arrange it myself with my own decorations since the party was in Connecticut the following day, and they did a great job working with me. It was very tasty and great texture (even after being in the fridge overnight for the party the next day)
