Food were actually good. Fun night out! Service was great! The mussels were our favorite! We would definitely come back!
1518 was a great experience for happy hour: we got well drinks for $5 and were able to be seated instantly on a Wednesday night. The happy hour food portions are almost like entrees— we ordered the spring rolls (which came with salad) and chicken tenders (about 7 tenders). Definitely worth the happy hour price, as the portions are large and the food is really delicious. The only thing I’d want to give another chance is the spring rolls: the flavor wasn’t as pronounced and needed a lot of sauce. Our server was super kind and I appreciate the staff!
Came here with a group of colleagues and was pleasantly impressed with the dinner menu. I ordered a Heineken and medium Ribeye w/Sautéed Veggies and it was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Highly recommend getting this meal.
Nicely decorated, quick and attentive service, great drinks, and good food. Came here for a quick bite to eat before an event at the convention center (within walking distance if you were wondering). Ordered the lamb gyro and chicken Cesar salad. Only issue was for the gyro was they forgot the tziki sauce. However the quality of ingredients and the lamb meat were fine. Average prices and quality drinks from the bar. The manager was super kind and offered us a free round. The watermelon margarita was delicious!
This new found classic is Philly to the max folks! The bartenders are friendly, the beer prices are extremely reasonable , and the atmosphere will put smiles on your faces . We are here to watch the Rose Bowl and feel super lucky to stumble upon it. There's even a red light , green light for bathroom availability. So fun!!
A great spontaneous stop led to one of the best meals and experiences we’ve had in this city. The waitress was fantastic. They have an extensive happy hour menu that included giant portion size food all of which was excellent. The owner even came over to say hello and gifted our son a souvenir just because. Totally worth it to check this place out!!!! Will come again for sure.
It's nice place with good food and atmosphere, smooth service. We ordered a sandwich with short ribs, caprese and wine. Caprese was small portion with big cut of tomatoes and small pieces of cheese.
Had perogies and wings, both great would definitely order them again. Bartender was friendly and took care of us.
Amazing food! I had the burger with fries. Cooked to perfection and amazing taste! My friend had the gyro and fries. It was gone before I could ask for a bite lol so I know it was also amazing. We also did the calamari as an appetizer which was crispy and cooked perfectly. The sauces for the calamari were a sweet and tangy sauce which made the calamari even better! Our waiter was an older gentleman who was super kind & very attentive. We did a round of pickle back shots had beer on tap and I had a mojito which was great. Definitely a number one spot on my places I’ve eaten. Highly recommend!
The best meal we've had in Philadelphia with outstanding service by Chris. Relatively small facility that is clean and has a lively bar scene. A solid crowd of people watching and chatting about the young and ruthless. The hummus is superb and plentiful. A full meal. The turkey club could feed a family of 4 and is very tasty The caprese sandwich is stunning and a full banquet. Very pleased. About $59 for 2 people.
Decided to go here with my wife on this cool street in downtown Philly. Great atmosphere and good food and drinks. The interior is very warm and inviting. Highly recommend!! They have excellent lamb gyros!
Thanksgiving evening. Looked in the street facing windows and saw a packed house. We almost didn't go in. It looked like an impossibility for seating. We decided to give it a shot. No one else was even open. We Squeezed through the packed front of house and past the full bar. There was 2 seats available at the bar side high top the owner was using as a resting place. He politely gave up his spot and welcomed us to his little overly decorated well guarded world. Great time was had after that. We will be back
What a great find! I accidentally found this place and absolutely loved! Luckily there was a happy hour until 7pm with great deals. I had the mussels twice as I liked it soo much and my husband calamari and a burger all delicious. The place has a great vibe and decoration. The server was adorable and delivered everything fast. I will definitely come back for more.
We went on a Friday night after 8pm so the dinner rush was slowing. We easily got two seats at the bar(tables available too). The bartenders were very nice and efficient. Drinks(beer, wine) were great. Food is consistently great (delicious, large portions for a fair price). Restroom is ADA accessible. Highly recommend. We missed it, but There’s a happy hour too. We’ll be back!
Love the food, the service and the environment it was full of people but I guess it was because of thanksgiving I will definitely come back.
After attending FanExpo, we decided to find a nice place to eat and came across 1518. It turned out to be a great choice! The bar had a pleasing aesthetic throughout, making it a visually enjoyable place to dine. What made it even better was its convenient location, just a short walk from the convention center. The food was delicious, offering a satisfying meal that hit the spot. The drinks were equally enjoyable, perfectly complementing the dining experience. Overall, we had a wonderful time at 1518 and would definitely consider returning in the future.
