Excellent. A must stop for a cheesesteak sandwich and a cold local beer.

A hidden gem across Niagara County. Jonfre’s !! My onion rings were big and crispy on the outside with the perfect seasoning. Delish.  I kinda felt like goldilocks, my meal was “just right.” As we were eating, the bar started to fill up with people to have lunch and drinks. We became fast friends with everyone. I never thought our lunch review would be so much fun! It was literally like a little party. Even Pete’s wife, Tina, came out of the kitchen and sat at the bar and started chatting with us. They are such down to earth people. I have no doubt they would talk with you the same way! Here’s a little bit of interesting history I learned. Jonfre’s is a family owned and operated bar and restaurant that was actually opened during prohibition by two brothers, John & Fred, well over 50 years ago. And look! They’re still going strong! I have no doubt many of you are like me and had no idea about Jonfre’s. It is a great place to have cocktails, lunch, or both! You really must give it a try. I know you will be SO glad you did. In my opinion, a hidden gem! We were visiting niagra falls and went in search of food. Interesting find. But, the owners were great and friendly. Food was tasty. Thank you for a nice lunch!

I had the best steak sub ever. Small fries were enough for two. We walked into this mom and pop shop 7 minutes passed their closing time, but they were nice enough to still serve food.

My wife and I happened to visit Niagara Falls in our way home from upstate NY. It was a beautiful day. After sight seeing we looked up Restaurants on Google maps. Jon Fre's restaurant had pretty good ratings so we thought we'd try it. From the outside it was unassuming. We entered and we were quickly greeted by the bartender. We found a table and was quickly greeted by the waitress. She was very friendly. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich. While I was waiting for the food the owner introduced himself. He was great and made us feel at home. Within minutes we got the food. The sandwich was hot and stuffed with steak and cheese while the bread was soft and was yummy. Everything was hot and delicious. It is definitely a place I recommend visiting.

The owners are as nice as can be! They chatted with us about being Roseanne and Dan for Halloween and it’s a match. We had a hotdog and a steak & cheese sandwich with onion rings. Reasonable prices and good food. *If you want a beef on weck, call ahead to make sure they have it. They were out for our visit (a testament to its popularity), but we’ll try again another time.

One of the greatest pubs of all time serving the best Beef on Weck in Niagara Falls! Pete & his entire family are good people who run a fine establishment.

Great service, friendly atmosphere, tasty food. It's obvious this is a treasured place in the community too. The local regulars were fast friends. Lunch was delicious and prepared with love. I hope to be back someday!
