I moved to Indiana and travel the 2 hours to get this chicken when I can. The man that takes my order is always pleasant. My food is always good and hot. I love that it's not a franchise. Helps keep the food good.
I had my 51st Birthday celebration yesterday at Eat on the Run !!!!! The atmosphere was great. The patio was amazing and most of all the food was superb !!! I ate the smothered chicken wings w/ mashed potatoes, corn on the cob & cabbage. Red velvet cake and a mango punch. Yesss!!!! My Son and daughter had these amazing sweet potato glazed salmon OMG !!!! All my friends and family had an Amazing time too. The staff was professional and accommodating. My family’s ages ranged from, my handsome grandson- 12 month old to a few golden beauties at nearly 70 years old. Thank You very much EAT ON THE RUN !!!! ***Can’t wait until you open another location in Hyde Park !!!!!
This is a hidden gem in the community. They're best if you need to cater an event, repast or just don't feel like cooking. The prices are great and they have specials. Not only do they have good chicken but baby they're sides are on point. The potato salad, green beans and Mac n cheese was such a hit the people that came to our event not only raved and were impressed but they called the following week to cater they're event. One person left the event that day to go buy they're own order of chicken and we were about 30 min from the restaurant.
This is the best fried chicken in Chicago! They should have lines out the door, but the restaurant looks closed from the outside. Ppl may not even notice this place.
This chicken tastes like when your momma got up early, cooked the long distance travel lunches and packaged them in shoe boxes to eat on your ride down south to see your other folks. Yes, it brings up those warm memories
Ordered food for a b'day party for my father's 95th b'day. Everyone enjoyed the food. Thank you. The inside of the restaurant could use a little sprucing up, but it was very neat and clean.
A hidden neighborhood Gem!! If you drive past Dunkin Donuts you have gone too far. Lol. Catering menu is very reasonable. Chicken is just has good as homemade.

I went to the location on 51st Indiana yesterday and the food and service was great. I can't remember the young man name but he was so nice.
