Fantastic spot that's a bit hidden away off the main drag. Everything we got was delicious and made fully in house, including the pasta. Service was great and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend getting the combo that lets you try a dish for each course selection.

We had a wonderful experience dining at your restaurant last night; what a neighborhood treasure we stumbled upon. The meal was excellent from start to finish. While the main dining room was quiet when we arrived, it was great to see the garden bustling despite the Chicago winter. The enclosed garden was incredibly cozy, and we especially enjoyed the warmth of the heat lamps and the wood-burning fireplace. Your team, Nori especially, did a fantastic job guiding us through the menu. The handmade pasta was exceptional, and every dish was full of flavor. My husband is already looking forward to returning to try more of the gnocchi, as the brown butter and fried sage preparation was the best he has had in years. Thank you for a lovely evening.

A eclectic little hole in the wall reminded us of the small restaurants in Italy. It is cozy and comfortable not too fancy. We were a little apprehensive about sitting in the garden, but it is covered and warm. The service was fantastic. Nora, our host was gracious. She made sure we were comfortable. Her recommendations both on food and wine were spot on. The food was delicious. We had the pappardale pasta and the Gnocchi. Both were well seasoned and fantastic. It paired very well with both the recommended Nebiolo and Venchi wines. A tad bit expensive but dont regret it one bit.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Friends invited me for my birthday. Had the wild mushroom over creamy polenta and both the fig and the tomatoe Burratas for starters. All excellent! The San Marzano Gnocchi was amazing! Melts in your mouth plus the tomatoes were perfection. Mushroom Pappardelle was subtlety delightful. The short ribs were so tender and perfectly flavored.. Branding was the most interesting I've ever had with the smoked tomatoes. Eat in the outdoor area, its so quaint! Service was superb and the Barolo wine we chose was like drinking in a summer day.

A lovely, intimate Northern Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet. You have to call in or email for reservations but it’s worth the extra step for this gem. Service is very attentive, staff are knowledgeable and able to help guide menu decisions. They will push main courses but the homemade pasta is the star of the show and can be upgraded to entree sizes. A great meal can be made from appetizers and entree sized pastas. Appetizers are on the small side. Burrata is flown in from Italy. There’s a traditional with tomatoes and usually a special. Fantastic. Beet salad with arugula is light on beets. Pear salad was a special. Melon and prosciutto is a great combination and slightly larger appetizer. Pastas - change from the antipasti size to entree and order many to share. I can’t say there’s a favorite. They’re all homemade and hard to beat. I would recommend getting at least one of the gnocchis. I’ve never had gnocchi so light and airy. Desserts - panna cotta was the table favorite. Flourless chocolate cake is an excellent rendition. Lemon cake is light and airy after a big pasta dinner. You can either eat in the more upscale dining room or the slightly more casual deck with fig trees, lemon trees, grapevines, herb boxes, and a fireplace.

Just enjoyed a wonderful and delicious dinner at this terrific neighborhood spot. Flavors were inventive and layered and portions were generous without being overwhelming. Great energy and buzz inside, but not rowdy. Service was warm and attentive. Happy to have found this spot, we'll be back soon!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Antico Italian Restaurant! The food was AMAZING—every single course was cooked to absolute perfection. From start to finish, each bite was better than the last. The service was top-tier, attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and truly elevated the whole dining experience. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back!

I cannot say enough good things about Antico! The service was very attentive and prompt. We sat on the patio, which was lovely. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Many of the herbs used could be seen growing in planters on the patio! The scallops and brown butter gnocchi were the best I’ve ever had. This place is truly special - we’ll be back for sure!

Antico is a neighborhood gem with some of the best pasta in the city! We have come here many times and have tried most of the items on the menu. They are all great but the homemade pasta is fantastic! The pappardelle with pork ragu melts in your mouth. The service, drink and wine selection, and overall experience is always outstanding. The space is charming as well with its lovely dining room and charming year round back patio.

Hidden neighborhood gem. We have been here a few times and it’s consistently amazing. Delicious food and attentive service. It’s quiet and romantic. It’s also family friendly, I have seen families here with kids and the staff has been so accommodating and kind to family dining. Just order anything from the menu and you will be pleased. We LOVED our dinner. We ordered dessert but ate it before I could take a picture. So grateful we have this amazing restaurant in our neighborhood!

Antico is the kind of charming neighborhood Italian joint that makes you wonder why you ever bother with the big-name spots. From the moment you walk in, the friendly service sets the tone — warm, attentive, and genuinely happy you showed up hungry. The dining room is inviting and surprisingly calm, even with large groups scattered around. It’s that rare restaurant where you can actually hear the people you’re with, which feels like a Manhattan miracle. We went for the four-course meal, which is a fantastic deal and comes with portion sizes that seem to assume you haven’t eaten in days. The duck liver pâté was a standout — rich, flavorful, and practically a meal in itself. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and very tasty, the kind of dish that disappears from your plate before you realize you meant to share. But the clear champion of the night was the filet — incredibly tender, full of flavor, and so generously portioned that I ended up taking most of it home because the first two courses had already won the battle. As for dessert… I can’t comment. It’s currently sitting in my fridge, and I’m still far too full to attempt it. But based on everything else, I’m optimistic. A wonderful spot with great food, great value, and great vibes. Come hungry. Very hungry.

We had dinner on a Saturday night. Food was good, fresh and I appreciate they grow their own herbs. The pastas are small portions so just keep that in mind with the price. The Motz and Fig you get ONE fig and one leaf of basil with a golf ball size of cheese... they rest of the portions were small but reasonable. Service and noise could be improved. I had to remind our waitress to bring an item I asked for multiple timea. Then my friend requested another item and had to reminders againas well. It's SO LOUD too. I would highly suggest some sort of acoustical paneling.

A northern Italian tribute, this restaurant is unique in its specificity. While a little off the beaten path there’s a lot to offer. We sat on the back patio which is absolutely perfect for a cool summer day or even better as we head into fall with their little cast iron stove to provide a comforting heat blanket. The diver scallops absolutely blew our mind. To the point we were ordering extra bread just to sop up what leftover sauce we could salvage. Had it been acceptable I would have drank straight from the pate! From there we went with a delicious yet not overly rich risotto and a much room pasta which shouted of its freshness. Oh, and the donut zeppelin at the end was the best throwback combination of a state fair sugar waffle. A quaint Italian eatery that will be a more unique date location than some of the oft talked about alternatives.

It is a small place with outstanding food (Northern Italian) & service! The menu had such delicious choices we could not decide. They also have the option where you get antipasti, primi, secondi & dessert for one price. We figured it was too much food & went with the server's suggestion-share an appetizer, a pasta & each order an entrée. We were also unfamiliar with the wines & she made a suggestion-i did not like the 1st, but had a glass of the 2nd one she suggested. They also have delicious cocktails. We truly enjoyed our visit & hope to go back the next time I'm in Chicago.

Our server, Ryan, was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the menu. I have a lot of food allergies but he didn’t let that scare him and had great suggestions and modification options. My friend and I split one of each course and it was delicious! Cute and quaint neighborhood spot, that grows their own herbs and food when they can. Cute covered garden area in the back.
