First of all I would like to say that the ordering process is very quick and their typical wait time is 15 minutes-- which is fantastic. I had called and placed the order 40 minutes ahead, and they were more than happy to hold it for me. The man at the desk was quick to bounce back and forth between tasks while remaining polite. The shop was cute. Quite outdated, but it was kept clean. It looks like a majority of their business stems from pickup and delivery orders, so there isn't much of a seating area. Payment tip: pay cash as prompted by signage at the register. It'll save you a few bucks. The food: the best sweet and sour chicken I have ever had. The chicken wasn't rock hard or that weird pale puffy looking chicken you typically find at Chinese restaurants. They were lightly breaded and tender-- the browned color is also very appealing. I loved that the chicken was served alongside steamed veggies, which paired nicely with the sauce. And their portioning was great for the price. In total, I paid about $23 for the sweet/ sour chicken and an order of crab rangoons (bag of 6). The rangoons were large, contained a considerable amount of filling, and had crab! The one's with less crab had more of an oniony/ garlic flavor while the one's with more crab were sweet. Portion size: The amount of chicken you get is more than filling. You get more meat than rice (compared to other Chinese restaurants which give more rice than anything else), which is considerably more filling. I will admit, I was initially bummed when I saw how small the rice container was because I love rice, but they have it packed so tightly, there is more than the eye can see. Will be coming back! (Also sorry the pictures are kinda blurry. I didn't notice before.)

This place might not be very noticeable, but we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered takeout and got the best general tso chicken we’ve ever had. The owner was incredibly friendly and courteous, even offering me a cookie when I left.

My family has been eating here for as long as I can remember, and now that I’m back in St. Louis I’ve been here as much as I can. Ive had Amer. Chinese food in many different cities but Lemay Wok has always been my favorite out of all the places I’ve lived/been. I would argue with anyone that they have the best General Tso and Crab rangoons in town.

Wow food. They make their food fresh and the person at the front desk is always kind to help you pick your dishes based on your preferences. Would totally recommend their beef dishes over the chicken. Absolutely recommend the Yu Hsian Beef and Garlic Beef along with the Empress Chicken and Hunan Chicken. You will not be disappointed!

This is always my go to. They are absolutely amazing. The chicken is so good, and the quality of the chicken is fantastic. Also, every time I go in the people up front are always so nice and friendly. My favorite Chinese spot by far I have been to.

Egg drop soup + sizzling three musketeer + crab rangoon + egg roll + cashew chicken = one happy New Yorker. This place is awesome! Delicious. Every time I’m in town, I come here. This place is so hot it sizzles!

Service was great. The staff was polite and friendly. The food was okay. No complaints, but nothing to rave about either.
