Boiling Point in Richmond delivers exactly what you expect from a reliable hot soup spot: comforting, consistent, and satisfying. The individual hot pots come out piping hot with generous ingredients, and the broths - from the classic House Special to the Taiwanese Spicy - are flavourful without feeling heavy. Service is quick, portions are solid, and it’s an easy go-to when you want something warm and fuss-free. It’s not groundbreaking, but it hits the spot every time.
Ordered honey milk green tea, the hot green and house special. The food and service were good. The vibes are relaxed. I actually poked through the wall of the bubble tea, making it burst. The store gave me a new one. Appreciate the generosity and service
Boiling point is THE place to be! My husband and I literally visit once every 1-2 weeks. Decided to place a review today to support my fav restaurant I don’t know what they put in the beef pot broth to make it so good but wow it’s just so so good. They are quite generous with the meat, and it goes so well with the other ingredients. I love the napa cabbage, tofu, beancurd skin, corn, pork ball, etc. It is on the spicier side so mild still has good spicy taste, which is what I usually get and what is pictured. If you can take spice well, then I would recommend medium. It also comes with a choice of vermicelli or rice. It already has a small amount of vermicelli in it, so I usually get rice. If you go at lunch, you get a free green tea or black tea drink. I usually get green tea. It is so refreshing, has the perfect sweetness level, and goes well with the meal. I also take home the broth in the end and eat another meal at home with it We make homemade hotpot at home all the time and have tried the majority of hotpot options in Richmond/Vancouver, and we still somehow never get tired of this place and go back to this place every single time. It is our default at this point.
Been here so many times. I like their lunch, there’s a free drink and lunch pricing is affordable. A variety of flavoured pots. Can choose your spice level. Either vermicelli or rice. Please let server know if you have any allergies. 4 different types of dipping sauce. Lots of free parking!
Boiling Point Richmond is a great spot! The concept is simple: pick your combo and it's served hot at your table with a mini burner. You can always ask for extra water if the broth gets low. I've tried various options and everything's been delicious so far!
Great Taiwanese Hot Pot. Delicious and cost effective. Good for this cold weather.
My first time at this location…not as good service as Main Street, but food was great. I always enjoy individual hotpot. The Korean bean paste one was very spicy good! It came with a choice of ice drinks: green tea or black tea. My green tea one was very refreshing.
The hot pot here is decent. It was busy but not a big wait for a Saturday evening compared to some other places in Richmond. Food was good and the prices are reasonable.
A few main points need to be addressed first. It was VERY busy, and the wait for the food was around 20 minutes. The second point is that if you are a bigger person, the seating will feel uncomfortable. So I chose the Taiwanese pot (flaming hot), and the other two were the house special and the miso pot. When the waitress came to take our order, she handled our questions very professionally, which I appreciated deeply. Another note for those who plan to visit for their first time is they will ask if you want vermicelli or rice and green tea or black tea (which all comes with the meal) When the food arrived, it looked quite impressive. The Taiwanese pot came with noodles, cilantro, clams, fish cake, fishball with roe, pork intestines, fish cake sheets, beef, and cabbage. The food tasted pretty good, and the soup has a very strong flavor. If you want something spicy, this pot is for you! Overall a good meal for lunch and dinner. A recommended spot if you are craving for something hot.
Went there on Good Friday at 4 p.m., which was considered dinner. Got to try Korean bean paste this time — it was good.
I recommend going to Boiling Point at lunch time because the menu is cheaper and the combos come with free ice green/black tea. Lunch time is 11am - 3pm, there might be a wait for that reason. The price for what you get is good, wish there was more meat though.
Individual hotpots pre-made. Reasonable atmosphere, and priced, lots of parking busy place, table were close to each other, so it was quite noisy. Food was delicious, the sauces were good!
[Ubereats] Spicy hotpot is great for winter time. Make sure you get mild or no spice if you’re not into spicy food because it is pretty intense. The portion is huge even though the price is a bit high. Lots of variety in each pot and it’s much more easy to eat on container vs the actual pot when you eat it in the restaurant. The noodle in the spicy pot was a bit soggy but it’s delivery so it’s hard to control timing.
