Green Leaf Sushi L Burnaby

Had dinner here. We ordered takoyaki, an aburi platter, and Asahi beer. We paid $155 for two people, including tip. We had a good experience at Green Leaf Cafe. The food was good, and the aburi platter was more than enough for two people, I think it would be sufficient for three. The service was pleasant and efficient. The ambiance was nice as well. The restaurant also has plenty of space, which makes it great for groups or small parties. Will definitely go back to Green Leaf Cafe.

An interesting option if you’re looking for something different. All of the staff were Japanese (or so it seemed) and the atmosphere was cozy. They had all of the standard sushi options as well as their take on Japanese-style pasta. Regarding the pasta, the spaghetti alla vongole was served with linguine so that’s as much as I’ll say about that. If you can read between the lines then you’ll know what I mean; otherwise, I truly think you won’t be disappointed as the portion is a good size and they provide a generous serving of clams. I liked the service and the presentation of everything. There were people of all walks and the restaurant was fairly busy on a weekday evening. Lots of parking.

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the food exceeded our expectations. We were a party of three and ordered the tomato kimchi ramen w/ yam roll, and a green leaf–riend menu. The portions were generous, and both the fried fish and the ramen were especially delicious. My family from Korea is planning to visit us soon, and this is definitely a place I would love to bring them.

Food did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was really good and their sushi is very fresh. My only complaint with the restaurant was that it was so hot! It seemed like the a/c units weren’t turned on because it was really uncomfortable when we visited.

So we ordered delivery a couple times before actually getting to this place to dine in. The over all food qualities were good except a few small things were under my expectation. However one of the lead- Jay, I believe he is the manager. He handles all my concerns super well even though their staffs were super on top of their the customers service. So it was such a great experience for us to dine in. Love this place and we would love to revisit more often!

Green Leaf Sushi is amazing! All three dishes we tried were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality and taste were top-notch, and the service was just as great.

The taste of the tornado omurice can only be described by the feeling I got when I no longer had kidney stones: overwhelming and emotional! But wait, there’s more. Behold, the strongest drug known to man: mentaiko udon! This restaurant has always done an outstanding job and I look forward to coming back soon!

As a customer, I hope that when I order pasta, forks are provided without me having to ask. Also, the spoons for eating rice should not be the kind used for noodle soup; it's really hard to get the rice into my mouth with those. The food and the price are truly excellent.
