Description Chosun Galbee
Chosun Galbee, located at 3330 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019, presents a refined Korean barbecue menu centered on premium beef, tableside grilling, traditional soups, cold noodles, seafood, and classic rice dishes. The signature Chosun Galbee features prime short rib seasoned with the restaurant’s house soy marinade, while richly marbled Kot Sal, American Wagyu cuts, bulgogi, and spicy pork broaden the barbecue selection.
Pricing reflects the premium ingredients: cold noodles run around $17.50-$21.50, lunch combinations start near $32, while premium barbecue can reach $69-$98 or more per order. High-quality beef, balanced marinades, crisp vegetables, and savory broths give the menu a polished yet comforting character. Vegetarian choices are available, although diners needing strictly gluten-free dishes should confirm marinades and sauces with staff. Lighter vegetable-based dishes and approachable chicken or rice options add flexibility for families. The restaurant opens from 11 a.m., making it best suited to lunch, dinner, business dining, and celebratory group meals rather than breakfast.
Menu Highlights
Chosun Galbee - Prime short rib meets a savory-sweet house soy marinade, creating tender, deeply flavored barbecue with beautifully caramelized edges.
Kot Sal - Well-marbled prime flower short rib delivers a rich, juicy texture that highlights the quality of the beef itself.
American Wagyu Ribeye Steak - Exceptionally marbled Wagyu cooks to a buttery, succulent finish and stands among the menu’s most luxurious barbecue selections.

Our cute Korean friend took us to this fabulous Korean BBQ in Korea Town. We loved it! The Jap chae was fabulous. It was a great way to all share a meal. We had a private room and the service was wonderful.
Excellent KBBQ right in the middle of Korea Town just West of Downtown Los Angeles. A bit pricey but the food tastes great and with adequate serving size.
The Korean BBQ at this place is amazing! The food was delicious, delicious, delicious! The meat tender and flavorful which made it amazing to eat. The sides that came along with the meal were also tasty. The glass noodles were really good. Our servers did a great job of taking care of our large party. They kept drinks coming and continually removed used plates. They were very accommodating. The entire restaurant was clean and decorated well. I loved the private room for our party. It fit us perfectly. I cannot say enough about my experience at Chosun Galbee. This will be a place to remember.
Unlike most KBBQ restaurants, Chosun Galbee is not "all you can eat" (AYCE), but you will walk away full, satisfied, and won't smell like KBBQ. The prices here are on the higher side, but the meats and prepared food are really good. You are also served a large selection of banchan and each was fresh and flavorful. The thinly sliced beef brisket, bulgogi, and short ribs were great, but the standout for me was the Yukgaejang. It's a soup, consisting of a spicy red broth, glass noodles, vegetables, and beef. It's spicy, but doesn't burn or linger. One bowl can be shared with up to four people, or will make a hearty meal by itself. As I mentioned, the prices can sneak up on you, the staff is super friendly, and the place is clean. Parking is valet only and cost $3.
If you are looking for the best Korean restaurant in la, you came to the right place. Chosun Galbee is the place to choose, it’s been there for 20 years serving the best quality meat. It’s an upscale restaurant, not cheap but it’s worth every penny. For that special occasion come give it a try and you will be happy you did. Korean restaurant at it’s best.
First time for my son and I at a Korean BBQ, so we were a little unsure how it worked. The staff explained and we were well on our way. All I can say is: AMAZING! . Everything was super fresh, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend (it WAS a recommendation to us, so I should pay it forward, right?).
