Alvaros’ Restaurant Establish Since 1977

My family and I had dinner here for the first time, we ordered the seafood rice and the beef skewer and sardine for starter which they’re all delicious! We realised there’s a 40% off the courses which were all so shocked! We would definitely return if we visit this city again! The waiter was also very friendly and patient:) thanks for serving us!

I visited Avaros resturant yesterday for dinner and the food was amazing. I have been visiting this resturant for over 2 years and the standard remained commendable. The new management has introduced more variety of foods including Afro-Carrebean cuisine. They have maintained the same shef Mr Martin for over 30 years.. The Shef is amazing with his cooking skills. The new management has done so well .The team is welcoming. We really had a wonderful dinner. I will recommend that everyone should visit the restuarant to share this amazing experience. Their price is very reasonable. You can test the quality in every dish. The sea food is fresh, the meat is tender and the spices are perfectly balanced. The best portugese resturant i have ever seen. I will be there again on Sunday the 23rd November to celebrate my wife's birthday. Please join me .

Friday evening was very quiet , i know the resturant has been taken over recently but still the same chef & Head waiter. It was good to see that they haven't made wholesale changes to the menu , this resturant has stood the test of time where many have failed. If you want fast food & service then don't come here .Alvaros is a dining experience to be savoured, yes it maybe old fashoned service but its quality service along with quality food . We have been comming since the seventies and it still remains one of our favorite resturants . The Dover sole with prawns & scallops was served pipping hot , i had the skewered steak which was cooked to perfection. Dessert i had the oranges soaked in Grand Marnier as normal again beautifully presented . Please give Alvaros a try if you have never been you won't be dissapointed. Date of vist 10th October 2025

Amazing Food and Staff!! Went there for the first time for my Birthday yesterday, what a find!! Our waiter was excellent, steaks cooked to perfection, our starters were amazing ( stuffed mushrooms and baby squid with Chorizo). This place should have people queuing outside all the time!! I would definitely recommend to my friends and will be back
