We had an excellent dining experience at Sign of the Horse! My family and I started with the batter-fried mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and they were absolutely amazing. They came with a delicious dipping sauce that complemented them perfectly. For our entrees, my daughter and I both ordered the chicken Caesar wraps, which were fantastic. My husband got the Carlito sandwich with French fries, and he loved it. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We also tried their ciders, which were absolutely fantastic. The quality of both the food and drinks really stood out. If you’re in or around the Red Lion area, you definitely have to give this place a try. We’ll certainly be back! We are going to give their wings a try on a Wednesday!
Had an amazing time! Great place to be 100%. Food was hot, served quickly and everyone there had an awesome personality. Thank you to Jerry and the one and only Executive Chief Fred for making our Christmas party a memorable one!
On Sunday, July 13th I hosted my daughter’s bridal shower at the Sign of the Horse. From start to finish it was seamless. The area is spacious with its own bathroom facility. The neutral colors made decorating a breeze. Planning with Connor was so easy and the fees were very reasonable. The food and service were great. I would highly recommend the Sign of the Horse for your celebration venue!
Loved the dog-friendly atmosphere. Fried pickles and the grilled cheese with crab was awesome- coming from a Marylander. You know we don't mess around about crab. We tried a flight - I loved the peach cider and their seasonal stout with peppermint and mocha was so smooth- yummy.
We had stopped there a few weeks ago for their soft opening which was busy with lovely live music, and a beautiful outdoor patio area. But tonight we decided to come try out their food. Our server, Morgan was very friendly and recommended items off the menu. We got the pan nachos with brisket and the beast burger. Both were good! We really liked the brisket! The beast burger itself was good, but the bacon jam was a little sweet for our taste, but if you don't mind a bit of sweet with it, you'd probably really enjoy that. we also tried the cheese cake with different drizzles on it. Also very good! I had the zombie frog IPA beer which was tasty too! We will definitely be back.
Here for the 17 year olds birthday meal. Food was good & service too! I loved the music We had mahi tacos, cheesesteak sandwich, ultimate grilled cheese (which I’ll try next time ) & the carlito all upgraded to fries (next time I’ll ask for vinegar for the delicious fries) It wasn’t busy & I really enjoyed getting the window seat to enjoy my little town.
Very good pulled pork and fries along with Texas bbq and the blueberry cider was top notch! I even had a 2nd that u didn’t plan on having. Service started out slow but once they got into the swing of the tables after just a few minutes and service was great. I expect that at a new restaurant and they recovered nicely. Great new date night restaurant adding to my list.
My husband and I have been counting down the days to the grand opening and it did not disappoint !!! Their beer is fantastic. Food was great. Awesome service. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area as well. One minor suggestion is to make the single stall bathrooms unisex as the men’s was always empty and the women’s had a pretty consistent line we can’t wait to come back and make this a regular stop!
We got there as soon as it opened due to the long wait in other reviews. It did started to fill up some more around noonish (opened at 11) on a Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Our server was Kyle and he was cool and accommodating. We tried his suggestion of the Mango & Guava seltzer, it was delicious and smooth. Everything we had was delicious. I had their French Onion soup, beast burger, and ended the meal with their Strawberry Lemon cake (off the menu due to the no Red Velvet cake available). My friend had the Arline Chicken dish that had a scoup of a herbed butter on it with the smoked carrots and fries as a side. She let me try it too and it was delicious. I was happy it wasn't cold like another reviewer had mentioned. I am coming back, I like to try their Brisket dishes, crab dip, and wings! Also, I love the outdoor setting and the interior is nice too. Need to try to go there at night even if it would be busy for how pretty it is with the lights.
Incredible. Went here Saturday night and it was packed. We were told 45 minute wait, so we grabbed drinks and sat in the courtyard. 30 minutes went by and we were seated. Waitress was running around crazily and still very nice. She took our order within 10 minutes of us sitting down. They were out of brisket, but the pulled pork back-up choice was very good. Only criticism is I wish the appetizer came out before the sandwiches. Beer is what you’d expect. I recommend the #6 Zombie IPA. If it stays this busy, I hope they consider using OpenTable for reservations.
This is my new favorite spot! Amazed at how many tasty things are on the menu! I went with a group of five, and every single one of us loved our meal! The ambiance is perfect and the staff is super friendly! Will definitely be back!
This place is pretty good. We ordered the beast burger and the regular burger. Both were delicious and the food came out as ordered. Well done was well done. The fries are very crispy and the drinks are good as well. The outside is very nice and secluded.
We had a great time on the patio! It was so cute and the perfect outdoor location for a Sunday evening dinner. Our server, Bella, we very attentive, super sweet, and knowledgeable of a lot of aspects of the establishment. We all ordered a beer from the tap and we all enjoyed them- the fruited beer, lemonade sour and the blonde ale. Our food was also good, however, it did take almost 45 minutes to come out and the side of mac n cheese I ordered was cold. Aside from that, it was a great time and we’ll definitely back!
