Butchie's

Absolutely delicious food and wonderful staff. Ordered online for takeout, but the restaurant looked very clean and diner vibey inside. Brought home the fried chicken tenders, smoked pork shoulder, brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, broccoli salad, hush puppies and strawberry rhubarb pie. Fried chicken, mac and cheese and hush puppies were stand outs, but everything was delicious and so well cooked. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing and unique food. The chicken fried steak is my favorite thing on the menu. The smoked wings are great and my wife loves the friend chicken sandwiches. Devilled eggs, hush puppies and cucumber salad are our go to sides. Even the kids love eating the mac and cheese here and hanging out on their large outdoor dining area. This is the type of restaurant that deserves to celebrated and shared so everyone can enjoy it.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Butchie’s. The team here is some of the hardest-working people in the food industry. Everything is made fresh, no frozen fries, no bagged sauces, and definitely no shortcuts. Real food takes real time, and that’s exactly why it tastes so good. If your order takes a little longer sometimes, it’s because someone is actually cooking for you. Yes, it might cost a more than a Big M@c, but that’s because you’re not getting processed fillers or mass-produced food. You’re getting quality ingredients and care, and I’m more than happy to pay for that. What really makes Butchie’s special is the atmosphere. It’s welcoming, inclusive, and feels like a place where people genuinely care. My family has shared so many great meals and memories here, especially great chats with my boys and that means a lot to me. I’m proud to support a place like this. Butchie’s is something special!

Probably Durham best food! Stopped in for the first time, wanted somewhere with a dog friendly spot to eat outside, and was the main reason to go to Butchies. Well we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing service, great food, and cool space! Definitely on my top list of restaurants after just one visit.

Butchies definitely a one of a kind place. It was clean, cheerful and more than inviting. The staff was friendly and shared their enthusiasm for what they were providing. Loved the pulled pork sandwich, And the hamburger was the best we’ve ever eaten. The mac & cheese was a little salty but still tasty. And the homemade lemonade was promised to be tart, but was still way too sweet. Can’t wait to go again. Too bad we don’t live closer. It was a bit pricey.

One of the best BBQ places I’ve eaten at. You can really taste the flavour and the sides were amazing. Had the pork shoulder with hush puppies and my boyfriend had the smoked half chicken with crispy yams. We literally inhaled the food and we ended up happy and satisfied. To top of the amazing food we also were greeted with great and friendly staff members. One of the best experiences and would definitely come back for more!

I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich, and it didn't disappoint; the heat was spot on, and the hush puppies with that Remy sauce were honestly addictive. The only minor downside is the price point—it feels a little steep for counter service, and the wait for food was longer than I expected. Definitely a great spot for high-end comfort food, just be prepared to pay a bit more for it.
